I didn't hear my telephone ringing today while I was out and about. While Eric and I were grocery shopping, I pulled it out to see if I'd gotten any text messages from Lyssa. She sometimes texts me something she'd like for me to pick up at the store, and I like to check before we're done so I can get it if she wants it.
Instead, I had a missed call. And when I looked at it, it said Shan. This is Shan. She had expected to pass through Portland today, but didn't know she'd be sitting in the airport for a long time. She ended up staying because another person was flying in (they're attending a conference) and she was going to drive with her to Southern Oregon.
So she wondered if we could meet up.
Well yeah!!
I got out there about 4. We sat and talked for a couple hours. Showed her where the airport car rental was and got back into my little car and came home.
It's fun to meet those imaginary friends.
Shan is an imaginary friend?
ReplyDeleteEric calls my online friends my imaginary friends. Actually, I call them that, too. I met Shanon online about 16 years ago. We've now met in person twice. Last time, she had two children with her and so did I. This time, just us.
DeleteGlad it worked out!
ReplyDeleteMe too. There are so many things we know about each other and so much we have in common. The way in which we hang out may be a little modern, but we're still great friends. :)
DeleteHow nice is that! :0)
ReplyDelete(((hugs)))
