You remember the old saying, right?

If looks could kill... what's the rest of that saying, anyway?

Had to look it up, as my brain was hearing the lyrics from Is She Really Going Out With Him?
Do you remember it? Joe Jackson.
(If looks could kill there's a man there who was born dead) and I couldn't place the actual words.

The school did a little detective work and found out who talked so badly to that little boy yesterday.

I am sure she knew immediately who told on her, there wasn't anyone else in the cafeteria.

By the time I got there, the person had already been spoken to, today was her last day there as a sub and she will not be asked back to that location.

That's not good enough, really, she should be blacklisted in every school in every district.
It kinda sucks that people like that can end up somewhere else and do the same shit to small humans.

I arrived at the school about 1:15 and checked in at the office. That's what I do every day, I park, grab my backpack and go inside. I check the sign outs for the day (doc appointments, sick, whatever) and the full printout of the absences. Sometimes my families forget to notify me that their child won't be in program.

I still call them to verify the absence because that's my job, but being able to mark them absent in the computer program we use before we get our bunch of kids is helpful. I can check with parents afterward.

I got stuff set up (my sidekick is back) and walked back down the hallway to the office to use the restroom. And guess who was walking toward me?

Yeah. Ms. Gonna Put You In Jail.

Man. The look on her face was pure murder. She didn't say anything to me.
I hope she isn't a person who would actually DO anything.

I doubt she is. A person who speaks to a child like that is a coward.

So the horrible person will still be working with children. Just not the ones in our school.

  1. Perhaps she has not been reported before and your doing so will make her think twice before talking that way to a child. We can hope. I know the saying as -----if looks could kill, I'd be dead by now.

    1. I hope she at least never says that particular phrase to a child again. Just awful. There are several variations of the phrase according to teh google. I prefer Joe Jackson's version from the song. ;)

  2. The horrible person should be blacklisted, but, that rarely happens. We once had a Sex Offender end up hired at a local School in our County that was Registered in a Northern Arizona County. At the time our Daughter was a young Teen and had a Shop Class with him as the Teacher. She confided in us that he creeped her out and so we told her to make sure she was NEVER alone in his presence. Then, lo and behold he got in trouble for inappropriate behavior with an underage Girl and it was THEN revealed he was a Registered Sex Offender in Coconino County, just WTF, how did he EVER pass a background Check anywhere in the Nation if he's Registered as a Sex Offender? It really upset me even tho' Thankfully nothing happened to our Child, but, her instincts about him proved to be accurate, and we had good communication to where she could consult us about how she felt about him, Thank God!!!

    1. OMG. I wish I could say I am surprised, but there are one hell of a lot of sex offenders working with children. Sometimes that's why they take the job. Smart girl to have figured out something wasn't right. I've talked to many kids over the years and told them that they should trust their instincts. That they don't have to have a reason they don't want to be near someone, it's okay to just listen to yourself.
