ReplyDeleteI had to look a few times, couldn't believe someone would make that error. But hey, I had occasion to smile.
DeleteAll dirty jokes aside, kids could probably benefit from a marital class of some sort. The world's view on marriage has become pretty distorted and unvalued. And I'm not even talking about religious views. There's not enough room here to accurately explain what I mean, I'm trusting you get me. Lol
ReplyDeleteI think it's more than marriage, things have just gone to shit. No empathy, sympathy, decency, work ethic... we could make a huge list. Of course it wouldn't apply to everyone, there are a lot of great people out there, I see many of them every day. But the commitment and dedication that marriage requires is also necessary in a lot of other areas of life and it seems like we're just not passing it on to the next generation the way we could. You're right, too, it's not about religious views, although the control exerted over people by forcing the same belief system onto them can at least give the appearance of decency.
