Hm. What is going on in my head?

I was sitting here typing while looking at the television.

And the title came out 'Hm.Wh atisg oingo ninmyh ea d?'

It says the same thing, but it's more... fun.

Tells me I need to look at the screen while I type.

Chopping up words in the middle like that and rearranging the spacing is one of the codes I show the kids when we talk about them. They seem to enjoy stuff like that, it makes them more interested in learning to read if they're not already readers.

I use easy words when we start. Like this:
Tod ayw ewil lhav esomg raha mcra cker san dap plesa ucefo rsn acks owas hupa ndme etmea tth esn ac kta ble.

I've been watching the television series Bones.
As usual, I didn't watch it when it was on network television. I hate commercials.

Also, I don't care if I see the latest thing when it's out.
Bones was on for 12 years. I'm on season 4.

It's fun so far. I don't actually look at the screen much, though.
Mostly listening while I paint or draw.

I have looked up on occasion to see some pretty gory crap. I don't love that stuff, so not seeing it is okay with me. The stories are interesting, though.
And I'm a fan of David Boreanaz, too.

My employer-who-isn't-my-employer called today. He wanted to let me know that furloughed employees are now laid off employees.

When I asked him how that affects me, he said it really doesn't. They're doing it because on paper it looks like they have somewhere around 500 employees when the real number actually working right now is far, far less.

And since the government help for non-profit organizations has a lot of specific conditions (or is supposed to, we all know how much fraud has gone on due to filthy shitbag politicians) they had to change the paper.

I'm on the official list of people who do want to come back to work for the organization when the world opens again.

We chatted a little about the school I've been working in and the district guy who opened up the back door and let that bitch manager from my last job bring her ugly and mean-spirited ass in. We're not at all sure I'll be allowed back in, although that's optimum.

He said that the school had wonderful things to say about me.
"Nothing but wonderful!" he said. "And that's one of the reasons we want you back when it becomes possible."

We chatted a little about other possibilities of my running a program somewhere else eventually. I haven't given up on the idea of getting back to a job I love, at least not yet.

I don't want to go back to work until I have received the vaccine, but not sure when that will happen. Supposedly the Dept of Early Learning/Childcare Division will contact me, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen. I don't have a lot of confidence in bureaucrats. Do you?

And there has been a little here and there on the news. Supposedly vaccines were sent to several states but somehow none of those states have nearly as many doses as they were supposed to get. No surprise, I'm sure they sold quite a few doses to other countries.

So glad we're rid of a large portion of them. Can't wait until more are out the door.
Fucking Heehawley, fucking treasonweasel Cruz, that toilet hound Mitch...

This article was worth a read.
Another dissection of the insurrection.
What a horrible bunch of people.

In other news, I've been painting more little things. I'll try to remember to post a couple in the next few days. I am being careful to put on an old sweatshirt because I'm kind of sloppy with the paint. On the evenings I paint, I end up with acrylic paint under my nails and on my hands.
Comes right off in the shower, though.

My sleep schedule is really weird now. I have never loved getting up early. But every morning I wake up around 4:30 or 5, get up and hug the man (he leaves at 5:30 or so) dump used water, and try to go back to sleep. Most mornings it takes me an hour or two to actually manage it. Why don't I just get up instead of trying to sleep? Because then I would need a nap at noon and I can't do an hour nap, I lie down  and I am OUT for two or three hours. Then I'd be up until midnight.

Half the time I am up until then anyway.
I have to be exhausted when I go to bed because otherwise I lie there and worry and worry and worry  think about all kinds of stuff and can't seem to rest.

I know this time has been hard on everyone, not just me. But I'm ready for the world to stop with the crazy shit.

Finally, I read this evening that the predicted pandemic baby boom hasn't happened. Some psychologist says that people generally put off decisions that involve a large part of their future when they're stressed. Huh.
Ya think?

  1. While I don't watch Bones or have talent enough to paint or draw your life sounds a lot like mine. Especially the lie in bed and worry, stress, worry some more. I honestly feel that the world is in a deep depression whether we know it or not. I miss my family. I want to hug my sister or see some close friends. We are close to a half a million dead. Now after the vaccine we'll need a booster for the newest variant. Oy Vay! I'm sorry you are going through all this. And I know how hard it is to not be working on a few levels. We had a customer cancel this week because her elementary child got covid. So while you are safer at home, it doesn't make it feel any better!

    1. The stress is something I have always had in varying degrees. Wish I could just shut it off.

I still say that ANYONE can learn to do some art. I have been playing with it for about 10 years, before that I never would have believed I'd be able to make anything recognizable as 'art'. Look up Zentangle (link on my sidebar over there----->)and get a pen, a pencil and a piece of paper. That's how I got started. :) I only suggest all this 'cause it's been a huge source of happiness for me.

I am angry that our former president did NOTHING to slow the spread of the virus, instead doing all he could to make sure people caught it. It's even in writing several times over. "We want them to get infected."

  2. We watched Bones when it was first on. I sort of lost interest the last couple of seasons.

    1. That happens to me with most TV series. I think the writers get bored. I've stopped watching several different ones in the later seasons.

  3. I follow one blog that write slik etha tall th eti me and never proof reads, lol. TV is pretty much just background noise for me. I hardly ever actually watch and sometimes I don't even listen to it. Sounds like we have about the same sleeping habits, and you know I agree with you 100% on the politicians who need to go!

    1. I use the TV for company because I hide out in the momcave a lot. But I mostly know what's going on during the shows I watch.

I hate the weird sleep habits I have going on but I don't seem to be able to stop doing it.
      ::sigh::

  4. Glad to hear you might still be back to work when you can be. Yes, the rolling out of the Vaccine is nothing to crow about and I have no idea when any of our Family will ever be able to actually get it? We're three people in three different 'Tiers' of Qualifying for it and no directive on whose going to inform you and where you'd go and then the follow-up of a 2nd dose is so 'iffy' that people who already did get the 1st dose can't seem to get the 2nd one in appropriate time, if at all, kinda rendering it mostly useless. So much that needs correcting, Biden has to unfuck this, that and the third that the previous Administration cocked up severely and perhaps even on purpose. I don't envy this new Administration the task at hand, I don't think Four years will be enough time to unfuck all the fuckery that went on in the previous Four years... just my opinion. But, I still do Celebrate we have Grownups in the WH again and perhaps, perhaps, some of the bottom dwellers will be ousted eventually? I think the Republican Party has a lot to get right or they'll be in perpetual crisis with how fucked up their Party has been allowed to become. I'm not Partisan, as a Moderate Independent I just Hope our Two Party System can figure shit out satisfactorily for the good of the Nation and it's people... I Dream Big like that.

    1. The partisan shit just angers me. And it's both sides, too. Depending on who's in control... the other side does all they can to fuck things up. Neither side is placing the people they're supposed to be representing at the top of the list. They're all playing a goddamn game and I can't even put into words how much I hate most of them.

I think that nasty evil Jared creature sold vaccines. And that his father in law made a buttload of money off it, too.

He also made money, and one huge fuckton of it, by pretending there was election fraud... although only a moron would have failed to notice they were careful not to mention it in court.

It all makes me sick, we're approaching half a million people dead and they just... wandered off, counting their stacks of money and plotting their next coup.

  5. I've been binge watching some shows that I never got around to watching. MY daughter has Netflix and I got rid of cable to all we have now is Netflix but I've been finding some good shows. It just sucks because I no longer have tv in my room because my tv is not a smart tv.

    1. I think an Amazon fire stick turns your TV into a smart TV. People are always selling them cheaply on FB and Craigslist.
I love having a TV where I can watch what I want when I want to. I also have a DVD player and a bunch of movies etc.

  6. I haven't owned a television in years nor do I want one.

For most of my life sleep has been easy. Now, I sleep for two-three hours, wake up, and then spend 2-3 hours wondering if penguins have knees before the mind shuts down and I sleep for another hour or two.
About 7:30 the dog needs to go out.

    1. Good thing you have Banner to keep you hoppin'.
We have talked about getting another dog, but we're waiting for them to make one that doesn't poop.

Penguins are birds. Which have knees. A penguin’s leg is composed of a short femur, knee, tibia and fibula. The upper leg bones are not visible as they are covered in feathers giving penguins a very short legged appearance.

There, now you should sleep like a baby.

  8. An indirect family member got the vaccine. And got COVID afterwards. It's not a cure all, it will lessen symptoms, but you can still get it.
We were watching the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt. Funny, light. I also loved Community, L and I watched it all the way through, ironic since he may be going to a community college here for a bit. We also just finished FATE, which is brand new on Netflix. Fairies, protectors and "burned ones", pretty good, but a six hour binge.

Hope things are good with the kids. I think as moms the worrying never ends.

    1. I tried watching Kimmy Schmidt. I couldn't do it, she was just too stupid. I think I got through four or six episodes and was just so aggravated at her idiocy that I gave up. I love Ellie Kemper, and that hasn't changed... maybe I need to try watching again sometime. I watch too much now, but it's on for company while I am painting. :)

You can still get covid for something like 2 months AFTER the vaccine from what I understand. I just know that if I want to continue doing the job I love, it will be a requirement. So I keep checking to see if there's a way for me to get it. So far, not yet.

    2. Yes, we are supposed to be in Phase 1B. The gov. announced yesterday we are moving from phase 1 to phase 2 February 1st.

So maybe 1B will happen when we get to Phase z and loop back around??

Essential FEDERAL employee my ass. Still waiting on the hazard pay also... only federal employees that did not get it. Seems Congress can't decide if we deserve it or not.

    3. Oh it was announced here, too... but we don't have the doses we thought we did, something that seems to be a common theme in every state.

Perhaps the doses were sent via USPS and now DeJoy has them all. WHy hasn't that fuckface been fired???

  9. We watched Bones the entire time it was on. The science-y stuff was good for our developing adulthood. or something. Better than some of the relentless drivel that is on otherwise. If it doesn't make your brain stretch a little, then what good is it?

    1. I don't mind a little empty headed entertainment, but I like to learn stuff by watching shows. For example Downton Abbey taught me a lot of history.

    2. yes! we got all the back seasons through the library and were shocked and amazed at all the things we didn't know. I think there were maybe 2 or 3 seasons left after we had binged them all and we watched those live.
