That's the sound of me hitting the wall.
Ugh.
Up at 4:27 this morning.
Once I got rid of used water, I figured there was no point in going back to bed.
I stayed up.
Had a visit with the podiatrist this morning in the middle of the time I should have been napping, so I missed my nap.
I know, old ladies and their naps. Geez.
I dreamed about ants. We had ants about two inches long all over the house. Infesting the carpets, nooks and crannies and drawers and anywhere they could hide.
They were a dusky red color, and when you held one up to a light source, you could see their abdomens were filled with a clear jelly. We decided that we had to do something, since they were all over the house, and adopted three anteaters.
We named them Dyson, Hoover, and Kirby.
They were quite effective on the ants, but made an annoying slurping noise while they were eating.
We enjoyed walking them on their leashes. Many people commented on how cute they were and asked questions about what they eat (ants, duh) and do they shed (no, these ones were armor plated and hairless... duh again) and do they make noise. (see above note about the slurping noises.)
Dyson, Hoover and Kirby.
Even in my dreams I crack me up.
The kids were crabby as hell today. Mean is their favorite sport right now. I spent most of my afternoon telling Timmy* that he needed to keep his hands to himself and Mia* that it wasn't necessary to kick the boys/stomp on their feet. She wants to prove she's as tough as a boy.
There is a family event this weekend at the school, so my entire program had to be put away in the back room this evening. It will be a gigantic pain in the ass on Monday morning when I have to get there a little early to haul things out for the kids to do.
My nose is still a little snotty, my brain is tired and I'm ready for bed.
How are things in your world?
You could have better used that 4:27 wake up call for Monday!
ReplyDeleteYeah.
DeleteEven on days when I can sleep in, I still have to get up somewhere around 5 because BATHROOM!!!!
But knowing I had to get up at 5 anyway, I knew there was no point in trying to go back to sleep.
I was up at almost that exact time today. UGH. Why can't we just sleep through the damn night.
ReplyDeleteI don't have the answer to that question.
DeleteI think the last time I actually slept through the night was back in about 1987. :)
You crack me up too! :0)
ReplyDelete(((hugs)))
