Almost finished....

It's been a tough week physically, but I have a lot of really happy kids.
There are six shirts left to be dyed because of family scheduling issues. I won't deprive the kids of the experience just because they weren't there. My goal was to make sure it wasn't a three week crazy drawn out process, and I think I managed that.

I wish I could show you the kids wearing their creations, they are so proud and so excited.

Yesterday morning I accidentally sent the wrong shirt home with a boy. It was actually a shirt belonging to a little girl.

So I called his mom and left her a message. Let her know that I would wash her son's shirt if she'd do the one for the little girl, and that we'd exchange them this morning.

Worked out great. And an added bonus for the little girl's family, they did not have to rinse the shirt. :)

Everyone was happy.

This was tied and dyed by a six year old. Yes, I helped, but she did most of it herself.
She's very, very artistic and confident.

Another work in progress. This child surveyed the carnage of red dye all over the tabletop after dyeing and said, "It looks like someone murdered a turkey."
