That's my birthday cake. :)

I got home from work and my lovely daughter had baked a cake.
Not just any old cake, either.

A thick, dense chocolate cake with cream cheese icing. All made from scratch.

That is one delicious cake. If I weren't already married and all that, I could marry that cake. That's how wonderful it is. :)

Let's see... a regular day. Work and nap and work.
Kids made a messy project today, shaving cream and glue mix. Looks like snow. They made various things on a piece of very thick card stock out of snow, and tomorrow is the day they decorate their snowmen and snow scenes with bits of felt and sticks and beads and buttons.

A few parents stopped by and wondered aloud, "Isn't that kind of a messy project?"
To which I answered with a big smile, "Why yes! It is. That's the point!"

I've been taking photos of their other little projects. And will share them. I will. Eventually.

I bought some cookies for the kids. Since it was my birthday and I could. :)
They were pretty happy about it, except Molly* wished the cookies were bigger or that we could have more. Greg* sort of smacked her on the arm and said, "You could be a little more grateful, you know."
