So I haven't been drawing very much lately, and I find that I'm missing it.
It's funny, because I haven't really been doing it all that long. Not spending time on it shouldn't be a big deal, but it is starting to nag at me. So I am working on a card for my mom.
Mom's doing really well, she is down to one pain pill a day, in the evening before bedtime. She is able to use her computer and we can chat via IM in the evenings, so it sounds like she's healing up.
I'm sure she'll appreciate the card, seems like not a whole lot of people send mail anymore. I know I don't when I can avoid it. Find a stamp. Actually drive somewhere to mail it. I usually end up mailing things from the office at our school. I have stamps in my office supply box in the back room (I bought them) and that way I don't have to take an extra trip to mail. I managed to send two cards to Tami last week? (I think it was last week) and put the wrong address on them, but she still got them. That's because her mailman sees more of her than any 25 people on his route. She's addicted to letters and pen pals and writing things by hand. If she weren't a little crazy, I wouldn't love her the way I do. :)
Okay, this part for women only.
Or whatever. Hell, I don't care.
I'm working through the whole menopause thing. Irregular cycles and all.
What in the blue fuck is the deal? My nipples feel like someone took a sheet of sandpaper to them. And when it's cold and they are, er, showing that it's cold, they GODDAMN HURT!!!!!
Grr.
I know you didn't need to know that. But I don't want to start looking up menopause symptoms on the internet because by the time I'm done searching this and that I'm convinced I'm dying usually. Screw that.
But if you or someone you know might have a clue about the sandpaper, I'm all ears. Or eyes.
probably something like with breastfeeding, the hormones go nuts. you could try paper or cloth nursing pads to see if that helps the irritation. :(
ReplyDeleteGlad your Mother is doing better. Yeah, no idea on the sandpaper thing, but I agree it's prob some kind of crazy hormonal bullshit making them feel like that.
ReplyDeleteCan't help on the 'nipple' issue here... but I want to start sending more snail mail...
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great weekend..
~shoes~
I went through chemo pause, not menopause, so I am no expert. I did look it up for you and menopause was mentioned as a causative factor. They suggested applying online oil to soothe them. However I can not stress enough the importance of caution when it comes to breast health. Please consider seeing your gun about it.
ReplyDeleteI hate auto correct. It's chemopause not menopause and olive oil not online oil. Sorry.
ReplyDeletePlease tell me there's no possibility you could be pregnant?!? It's been so many years since I went through menopause, but I don't remember this from that. I do remember it from being pregnant. Perhaps it's just weather, or hormones... I HOPE!
ReplyDeleteCan't help you with the sensations you are going through. sry :0( As for myself, I have ALOT of feeling in my nipples & get horny when they are slightly touched even at my ripe old age. whoooooohooo I shit you not
ReplyDelete(((hugs)))
Just had to admit that yes, I am a snail mail addict. (Isn't admitting to it the first step of recovery?) I send and receive a BUNCH of letters each month. I guess it's my way of socializing since I just don't do it face to face very often. As for the nipples part (and I've never posted about mail and nipples at the same time--well, not THAT kind of mail), I did not have those sensations, but they were extra sensitive, and not in a happy way either.
