I am not sure what I want to talk about tonight.
It's 9:30, I stayed online talking to a couple of my imaginary friends until about half an hour ago.
It wasn't a big, exciting day... just a mellow hang out with the man and be together sort of day. Eric went and got a haircut while I showered and got decent for the day. We went to the car wash and had the bug guts and dead butterflies left over from my journey to Eastern Oregon a couple weeks ago scrubbed off. Terrible grammar, really, but you get it.
Did the grocery shopping. Drove over to the produce/fruit stand and Eric bought corn and onions and some cherries. Got back home and put groceries away, Eric drove up to the gas station with our propane tank and filled that.
He barbecued a nice dinner, we watched television and here I sit, playing with my computer, getting ready to play with my zentangle stuff and go to bed.
We plan to get up early enough to go to Goodwill when they first open in the morning, and then do some serious dehoarding.
I know I say that all the time. And it doesn't happen. But now the heat is on. My father in law is coming to visit at the end of the month, and of course school is starting on September 9th, so it's time for me to start getting my shit together.
But you know how you look at stuff and get overwhelmed by the very idea of actually doing something and then you don't do it?
And you lie awake at night and promise yourself that you're really going to get up, be motivated and actually get stuff done?
Or is that just me?
So I am going to go get ready for bed, floss all the corn out of my teeth (yes, disgusting, but I'm keeping it real as always) and sleep.
Send motivation. And a wish that my feets don't bother me too much while I'm cleaning. :)
Funny, my hubby got a haircut today too. I think she likes him a little too much though...when he told her we were moving she just HAD to give him a great big hug and get all gushy...whatever...my guess is she wouldn't have done that if I'd been there. LOL I hear ya on being overwhelmed, we are literally leaving town to move in 5 days and after doing a couple things for maybe an hour....just shut down mentally and did NOTHING.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the dehoarding. As far as the procrastination due to being overwhelmed, yes that happens at my house as well. I try to tackle a small bit at a time and before I know it, dang - we have progress!
ReplyDeleteGave my hubby a hair cut too :)
Also, lucky you that the mad spammer has laid off infecting you. I am still getting about six a day. All tremendously weird shit.
ReplyDeleteDid you say dehoarding? Ugh. I know what you mean. Just take it one little space at a time, and DO NOT tell yourself, "I just know this whatis will come in really handy someday".
ReplyDeleteNo. You're not the only one. And, lucky you on the no-spammer. I'm jealous!!
