Stuff

My fingers are doing the annual winter split. Someday I will learn to put the bandages on when the fingers start to get sore instead of waiting until they actually split open on the ends.

I am pretty cool, though, I have waterproof bandages. STAR WARS waterproof bandages. I impressed the kids. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a ton more stuff to blather about but I am suddenly just wiped out. Hormones suck, don't you agree?
So I will take my split fingers and put them to sleep for the night, covered in polysporin and wrapped in bandages.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Have to tell you though that I did not have Jennifer* today in my program. It was weird, no one whined, burst into tears, or acted snotty to the other kids.

She's a cute kid, and has good qualities, but requires a great deal of maintenance.

Okay. Bed. Today (Friday) is payday. This is a GOOD thing... we always have too much month at the end of the money and man does it get old.

Sort of like me. I am getting old, too. Couple weeks until my birthday.

Whoopie.

  1. Ever try putting Bag Balm on your fingers, before you go to bed? We use it in the winter alot here. On chapped cheeks, dry elbows, etc. It doesn't have a strong smell. Just a suggestion.

    1. I have not tried bag balm, but it's on my list of things to get at the store when we go today. I've had it recommended before.

      The situation is partially my fault, really. I allow myself to get dehydrated, I run the heater on my hands, and I forget to wear my gloves when it's windy and rainy and cold.

    1. Too much MONTH at the end of the money... that's us.

      And yeah on the adolescent skin! What the hell? I was always told that eventually my zits would go away. I'd outgrow them. They'd retire.

      Yeah, they retired alright. And like all retirees, they've moved South.

    1. Well, I will pick some up today and see if it works for me. I'd love to get rid of the split ends on my fingers, as they're painful and aggravating.

      Imagine the world without the painful and aggravating!

      Wow.

  4. Hubby has the same problem with splitting fingers, but I haven't talked him in to decorative bandages. Somehow, I think the guys at work might give him a hard time.

    1. I think if you got him some Hello Kitty or possibly Dora the Explorer bandages the guys would be JEALOUS.

      I bought the Star Wars bandages because they were the waterproof variety (I wash my hands a lot) and they were on sale.

      Now I find myself looking at all the varieties of bandages and pondering stocking up on different types just to impress the children.

      I still want to be the cool kid.

  5. Yes. Hormones are a drag.

    So is winter skin.

    I have winter skin, but it's not really winter here, still 80-something degrees every day. So I just have to slather up day and night so I don't frighten anyone, LOL.

    Get some rest.

    1. Winter skin.. yeah. Every winter, I find a new place on my face that wasn't so wrinkly LAST year. This year it's high on my cheekbones. Red and crepe-y.

      I think I may be frightening to those who do not know me.
