Who Knew???

Morning conversation.

Kids observing the clay creations we made a week ago. Mark's* spaceship, complete with many antennas, looked more like a man than a ship. One of the appendages was located between what would be legs. And it had broken off, either during the drying process or the moving it here and there while I have been arranging stuff in the back room.

And Don*, 7, looked at it and said, "Hey, the guy's thing came off!!"

Rachelle said, "It's not a guy. It's a space ship."


Don said, "Oh. I thought it was a pee part. Did you know that boys and girls have different pee parts?"

Rachelle and Dave* both went into hysterics immediately, laughing uncontrollably.

I about choked.

"Don, yes, boys and girls are different. It's probably better for you to discuss the differences with your mom and dad rather than talking about it here, though."

"Oh." he said. "Okay."

Leaving me with a whole new description to add to my ever-growing lexicon.
