Hm.

Two hour delay in opening schools on Tuesday. A little snow and slush out near our school, but the roads were fine.

::shrug::

I don't know what made me check the news website just before I shut off my computer in the morning, but the voice mail that was sent at 5:20 didn't reach my phone until a little after six. About 10 minutes after I would have been on the road.

So I am glad I looked at the news.

Had to cancel the PT, though. It takes me 40 minutes to drive from work to the clinic, and my appointment had been at 10. I didn't get out of work until 10:30. Sorta didn't work.

Made it to the 11:15 doctor's appointment, where we talked a bit about my left knee, more about the right one, and the right lumbar region which is the next hot spot... oh, and acupuncture. Which happens on Thursday.

I'm going to ask her for one of the needles (they're single use) so I can show the kids at work. They also want to see my MRI films. I have had them in the car for two weeks and keep forgetting to bring them inside.

::making mental (hahaha) note to do so:::

So after I saw the doctor, I had time to come home, eat a little lunch, and head back out to work.

My assistant was able to stay late on Tuesday, which meant that she closed for me and I was able to be home before 5. It was only about an hour and a half early, but it felt so nice to have that extra time at home, even though I used it mostly sitting.

I do a lot of sitting lately. Stupid knees.

So one of my kids asked me on Tuesday, "What if your children ended up to be gay, would you still love them?"

And no, it wasn't
Liam* who asked. But he listened carefully to my answers all the same.
So tomorrow I'll write up the conversation for you.

Meanwhile, I get to go to bed a little early.

Something else I like, now that I'm old and decrepit.

  1. Lots going on, interested to read about the conversation with the kids. Note for you ,when you go for your acupuncture, you might feel fairly weak and dizzy after, so give your self some time to "get your head on straight " after
