Score!!

Just before school started, I found a turntable/tray sort of thing at Goodwill. Made by Rubbermaid, it's perfect for dumping beads into at work so they aren't all over the damn floor. It sits in the middle of half a cafeteria table, and kids can work on either side of it. I edited the photo so you can't see any kid faces, but I wanted you to see what I mean.

I've been watching Goodwill ever since for another one... that way we can have one on each half of the table when the kids do pony bead or fuse bead projects and up to 16 kids at once can work on a bead project.

And Friday morning, Lyssa and I were Goodwill Hunting and I found another one!

I am aware that my excitement over this find is not shared by a large portion of the world, but I must tell you, it made my day.

And when I took it to work on Friday afternoon, the kids were excited as well.

:)

We purchased the following on Friday:
Four pairs of jeans, three for me, one for Lyssa. Two of my pairs were half price, which made them $3.99 each.
Two shirts, both for me.
Sunglasses for Lyssa.
The tray for beads.

And it was $41.25.

I love shopping at Goodwill.

I also love three day weekends. At least at the beginning, where all that time fairly glitters before me.

Plans for the weekend include laundry. Cleaning. Taxes. Grocery shopping. We are very exciting people here.

Oh, and one more thing. Remember
Amanda's pants ??
Found another pair of them. I did not buy them, wrong size. But I pointed them out to Alyssa. We had a little giggle.

Had an even bigger laugh over them when I came home, and out of curiosity checked my blog stats.

Someone found my blog looking for 'ways to get into Amanda's pants.'

  5. Every Friday night, I think I'm going to use Saturday to get ALLLLLL those things done I didn't get done during the week. But, Saturday comes and I usually spend it being lazy with the kids.
Today we watched Monsters vs. Aliens. So funny!

I miss Goodwill (and all the conveniences of America, really... If they send us to Alaska, I'll be stoked. Then again, England would rock. However, Germany would be lovely... AAAARRRGH! I want them ALL - the beauty of Europe and the ease of America!).

Ok, done with the rant. ;)

This is a great score, indeed. How convenient it makes everything, and it looks like there is plenty of room for several pairs of little hands to work (unlike a teeny craft box).

    Way to go!

  8. This time, unlike last time, Amanda's pants were too small.
But since I got three pairs for 15.97, I can't complain too much.

I get sticker shock when I somehow end up looking at retail prices on clothing. Goodwill is a good friend. :)

Watching a movie with your kids is not a waste of time. :) I'm about to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics with my family (recorded on DVR).

And the trays will be one of the best investments I've made in my job. Total of $8.98 for those. Worth a lot more if you ask me.

    :)
