Two Wild and Crazy Guys

It's Saturday night.

Eric and Matt are camping as I write this. It's a bit chilly down here in our area, but it's going to be downright cold up where they are.

No thank you.

I did not want to go along, even if I'd been able to. There's no way in hell I can sleep in a tent on the ground right now. I can't get UP from the ground!! Besides, I'd lie there and freeze all night long. How the hell is that fun??!

So Lyssa and I, being the sane ones in the family, did a little shopping together in the afternoon and had Panda Express for dinner. I'm sitting happily in the kitchen near the heater, and she's hanging out about 15 feet away in the living room.

We plan to get up early enough to be at Goodwill tomorrow morning when they open (10.) That means we'll be there before the idjits get out of bed, or at least some of them. I'm sure we'll see at least one.

And I'll cook a nice dinner in the afternoon, and we will be home in a warm house while the men freeze their noonies off.

Brrr.
I have no sense of adventure, but I am warm.

And now that this is ready to post, I am going to go crawl into bed, snuggle under my electric blanket and sleep RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of my great big bed.

Ahhh.

  1. I never minded camping in the summer, when it was WARM. We did camping in the winter once and it wasn't bad. I like being able to say I slept outdoors in January. :-D

But I'm glad it is in the past!

    Stay cozy.

  5. I am split. On one hand, I really wanna go camping. On the other, I love being warm and cooking in a house not a campsite.

  6. Pfft, Jimmy wants us to go camping. I said it better be in a cottage or something. He's not getting me to sleep outside. In a sleeping bag. In a tent. Where all kinds of creepy crawly things and/or critters can get me. LOL
Glad you and Lyssa had a good time. Find anything good at Goodwill?
