Still not great. Saw Dr. Dirtball.
She said I'm sick.
Then she prescribed some Amoxicillin and some cough syrup. I like my cough syrup. It's gooood cough syrup. Makes me a little loopy, though. I mean more than usual.
Reading makes my head hurt, so I've watched several movies. Stuff I haven't seen in years.
I saw Enemy Mine, Amadeus, all three Indiana Jones movies and I'll be watching The Man from Snowy River when I go back to lie down.
Now the bad thing is, the company I work for really has no subs. When a person needs to take time off, people cope, but sometimes a site is out of legal ratio. Sunshine left me a voice message today letting me know that it wasn't really a good time for me to take the day off. Not that she said it that way, but yeah.
I washed a baking dish and threw some chicken thighs in the oven for dinner, tossed some laundry into the washer and went to bed again.
And that's where I'm headed now. It's 7:20 pm on Monday.
Nite nite.
Sunshine would be more upset if you went in and infected the whole place and all the parents got mad that you gave it to the kids.

ReplyDeleteWhat those two ladies said. EVERYONE would talk about you like a dog if you came to work sick and got all of their precious little angels sick along with you, and of course you don't want to get on that vicious cycle of a merry-go-round ride.

That is terrible. I can honestly say, I know how you feel. It happens every year at this time, right after City Slickers and the Food Bank Drive. I get a tremendous cold flu and it hits me worse than the others. I am glad I don't have to go in to work much at this time of year.
