Awakening four or five times during the night makes me tired.
I need to remind myself that eating watermelon, while quite tasty and good for me, make me pee. A lot.
And I'm still coughing from my illness of two weeks ago. Now my nose is starting to itch again. Am I getting another cold? I don't know, but I used quite a lot of tissue last night while I was trying to sleep.
Another thing that interferes with sleep is having a restless and curious hubby. Someone had parked across the street early this morning (about one) and he was trying to figure out what the guy was doing.
I got up to pee and realized that Eric was not in bed. Went looking for him, only to find him standing in the kitchen in his underwear, looking out the window.
When the guy staggered around his van, fell down twice and staggered around some more, we decided he must be on something.
He let a dog out of the van, wandered across the street to the Cletus Hotel, walked up on the porch, and staggered back to the van.
About that time, Eric decided he'd go back to bed. I suggested we call the police to report the suspicious activity, but Jethro beat us to it. As we went to get the phone, three police cars pulled up in front of the school. Jethro came out of the front door of Cletusville, and sat on a big rock in the front yard, smoking. I guess he figured since he was the one who called, he should have a ringside seat.
Eric immediately fell asleep. Started snoring. But me? I was awake. I laid there until the tow truck came and took the guy's van away.
Then, I got up to pee again.
On the way back to bed, I stopped to blow my nose four times.
I have to go to work today at 10. I will be coming back home at one. 12 hours after watching some drunk wander around our neighborhood, and about 10 hours after I finally got back to sleep.
I need a nap.
Sounds like you're in for a long day, however short it may really be.
ReplyDeleteFeel better and get some rest tonight.
Ugh, what a night. I feel for you. Of course I've had eleven consecutive "ugh" nights due to a very hard, very uncomfortable trailer bed. So there, feel sorry for me please. :)
ReplyDeleteMmmmmh... I love watermelon.
You need a VACATION, oh, and a nap!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find time to get a nap in this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI've never noticed watermelon altering my peeing habits. However there is a strange connection between watermelon and pregnancy with me, so I guess in a roundabout way, it DOES make me pee a lot more often.
