Sunday Writer's Showcase

In no particular order, here are links to the participants from Say Something Saturday.
While saving the links, I found that a couple of them link to the blog rather than the individual post, so you may have to scroll down one or two to find it.

The Name Was Over The Door: Say Something Saturday #2...

All In A Day's Work
The Mournful Cry of the Laundry
TWO MOMS' HOMESCHOOL: Say Something Saturday - Take 2

kitten's homeschool: Say Something Saturday (2)

I really enjoyed reading them. I loved that Kitten had a photo that fit with her story, too. :)

I slept until 10:30 this morning. (Told everyone I was tired starting at about 8 p.m. last night ... I bet they believe me now!)

I surfaced briefly at 6:05 when Matt headed out the door to work and dozed back off after a quick trip to the little girl's room.

I'm actually still a bit sleepy. I could probably go back to bed if it weren't for the guilt. You know... everything is a mess after our busy week and someone has to do it? I swear we're only home long enough to mess up the house.

I had help, though. Eric got up quite a bit before I did and did all the dishes this morning. It was a huge mess, so he saved me an hour or more by doing that.

I have a boatload of laundry, too. I'm going to put Lyssa to work helping me with that, and then I'm going to help her pack. She's really excited to go visit my parents this week. I am sure part of the excitement is traveling by herself to get there. She has such a nice time with them that I almost feel guilty for missing her, but by the time she gets home, I will be missing her quite a bit.

She'll be gone until next Tuesday. ::sniff::

Eric and I are going to take a trip up the Gorge next weekend, just the two of us. We figure Matt's a big boy now, and can stay home and manage just fine. I'm looking forward to getting away and hanging out with my favorite man.

I really hope to spend a little time playing with my camera today, too.
Maybe after next weekend, I'll have some new pictures to share.

Wow. I'm really boring this weekend.

Awesome that you are able to get away sans kids. We leave our kids at home quite a bit now...but have only left them once for four days last summer.

    Have a great trip!!
