I'm not happy with the way this picture turned out. But I was trying to be unobtrusive. This woman was sitting at a table flossing her teeth IN A RESTAURANT where I had lunch with my daughter today. Her two table companions left to go pay the bill or maybe work on some other personal hygiene... or something. She whipped out a two foot strand of dental floss and sat at the table, flossing, inspecting the strand to see if she got anything interesting, sticking it back into her mouth and working happily away while Lyssa and I were laughing like hyenas and I was searching in my purse for my camera. To give you an idea of how long she was flossing, my camera was zipped into my purse. Zipped into its own little case. I store the camera with the battery door open because otherwise it just sucks the juice right out of the batteries. So. I had to unzip my purse, unsnap the little clippie thing on the front of the camera bag, unzip the camera bag, get the camera out, close the battery door, turn the camera on, adjust it so it wouldn't flash, zoom it, and get it up on my table to take the picture. Oh, and did I mention we were in hysterics? Then, when she was finished, she stood up, walked to the door of the bathroom with the floss still hanging off her fingers and went in. I can't imagine why she just didn't go in there in the first place. It was quite an entertaining lunch.
OMG, that is hilarious! I watched someone once just about have their whole hand in their mouths digging in their teeth. LOL
ReplyDeleteTo Amy @ the foil hat, I would be mortified to have someone suggest I change my baby on top of a restaurant table. I do change my baby on the living room floor, but we're at MY home in privacy. I couldn't imagine doing so in front of strangers. That would creep me out. I don't even like having to get him nekkid at doctors' offices. LOL
I had a friend who would floss her teeth during History class. I think that THAT is the proper place to floss.
