Each bird house was seven pieces. They were pretty large. It was a LOT of work. He came in Sunday afternoon just as it was starting to get dark out and sat on the floor in the living room putting each set together with rubber bands, and labeling each part for easy assembly. He wrote on the side of each piece with a marker so the girls would know which side was 'in'. I'd be getting ahead of myself if I told you how many (three) girls assembled their birdhouses with at least one piece facing the wrong way.
