They seem happy...

Well, yesterday was Wear Your Tie Dye Day.
Fridays are a low attendance day so not all my kids are pictured.
Funny how much alike they look, huh?

They were so proud of their shirts.

    1. The kids did most of the work, too. I did bring them all home tied while they were still white and soak them in chemicals/spin them out. But they banded them before that and applied the dye themselves. They actually listened to my instructions, which is always helpful with tie dye.

  2. Who can't be Happy in Hippie Clothes, especially Tie Dye? *winks* Today was Hippie Day for Spirit Week at The Granddaughter's Work so she Raided my Closet, it was a shoo-in for her since, well, Gramma is an Old Hippie and it's just how I still roll... LOL

    1. You're the cool grandma! I love the bright colors and designs, more so now that I know how to make some of them.

I was not allowed decent clothes as a child/adolescent. When everyone else was wearing tie dye, I was wearing hand me downs in a small town and everyone knew who'd had them before.

My brothers, of course, were given new clothes all the time and could wear things that were current.

    1. There are three boys in this photo. Little guy holding the ball, a kid in the back and the little guy left front. But I have a pretty equal mix of boys and girls in the 35 kids enrolled. They just weren't there on Friday, as Friday is always low attendance. Lots of kids play sports and several parents work a 4 day week with 10 hour days.

I was really pleased with the way the shirts turned out this year, the kids actually listened to my instruction. Makes a difference!!
