Elfies

Not a typo.
Elfies instead of selfies. :)

Back when I worked for the evil empire (Champions, part of the KinderCare conglomerate... where kids aren't even part of the equation) Matt painted an elf cut out on foamcore board from the Dollar Tree.
I have used it many times with many kids, but this photo is my favorite.

Sent home a bunch of these this week.
Every parent who's seen them instantly loves them.
I know if someone had given me an elfie of one of my kids when they were six like the little guy here, I would treasure it forever.

It's been several years.
The elf pictured is now 17 years old, so I am not afraid of compromising his identity.

He's the same child who asked me how to spell Polish breasts.

You should go read that little story.
No matter how many times it shows up in my FB memories, it makes me smile.

Everyone should have an Elfie.

    1. He was a wonderful little boy. I don't remember the names or faces of every kid I've cared for, but while scrolling through old photos, quite a few of them come back to me. I really do love my work.

  2. I watched "Polish Breasts" on Porn Hub the other day. 2 stars at best.

  4. Especially memorable is that lovely little black eye...lol
I saw a photo on FB, of a young girl in a rather crazy outfit, and a story from her Mother that she treasured it rather than the ones where hair is neat, clothes are nice, etc. It showed her daughter's personality, which was quite adorable.

    1. I think the black eye is what makes it so charming.
Of course I have memories of the little guy, too. Really wonderful little person.

I agree with the imperfect photo thing, too. My all-time favorite photo of my daughter is here https://amimental.blogspot.com/2019/05/more-trouble-same-double.html

She always has had an interesting fashion sense but always looks amazing as an adult.
