Watch out!!

One of my smalls asked me today, after we did our evacuate the playground drill, "What if there is a flood or a bad guy in the school and we have to leave? Where will we go?"

I told him we have a plan.
There are two locations near the school that we could use.
One is a park, one is a church.

He said, "Oh, if we go to a church, we have to be careful. There are lots of church mice. I read it in a book!"

I didn't laugh, he was so earnest and so cute.

I told him I didn't think church mice would be a problem, but that we'd keep an eye out if we ever had to evacuate.

Then he said, "Even if there aren't mice, sometimes there are moles!"

He did the buck tooth thing, holding up his little hands.

I don't know where kids come up with this stuff.
