This did not make me happy.
I was, however, inspired to new heights in prose.
Since I knew they were reading, and they didn't know that I knew, I tailored quite a few posts for them.
I had surgery on my right knee while they were trying to weasel out of paying for it, but kept it off my blog until the time was right. Funny, as soon as I posted it, they suddenly wanted to settle.
Since I called my former employer this week, I figured that it might be a good idea to give my blog a little scrubbin'.
I fixed it so no one could read here, intended to scrub it the same day I gave it a little nap, but I got sick.
OMGGGG did I get sick!!
I don't know how high my fever was on Wednesday night, but I was delirious all night long and into Thursday. I got up once about 2 and took a quick shower to try and cut the fever, but I just almost passed out. Soooo dizzy and sick. Ughhhh. I think it's been about 20 years since I was this ill. I'm guessing it's the flu, the fever, the fact that everything hurts (OMG even my hair hurts!) and the congestion all point in that direction, anyway.
No amount of aspirin or other stuff seemed to do me any good, either.
So that's why you couldn't read here. In case you wondered.
Now I'm off to fill out an online application for a new job.
I missed work on Thursday and am missing work right now, as we speak.

I was wondering, actually. Sorry to hear you are/ were so sick!! It's certainly going around. We've been taking immunity boosters, trying to avoid it.

I don't know about the job. There are several openings, but I don't even know yet if they want to hire me. They made interested noises, but while clicking little boxes on their 'you must take these FUN QUIZZES' there were two questions related to age/disability. They have to be careful about how they phrase them, but you have to answer so the next questions will come up. Shady AF. If you ask me.
DeleteI don't know about boosting immunity... I'm guessing that staying out of situations where people cough directly in your face while telling you about their day might help. LOL

ReplyDeleteAw thank you! I look at my stats when I remember to, and there are about 50 to 100 people most days who stop by. Hardly anyone comments, but they're out there... lurking. Ha, the largest number of comments lately have been from hopeful spammers, wanting to cure my readers of herpes, AIDS and penile erosion. Do you need information about any of those? :-D

ReplyDeleteWell. I don't feel as awful as I did on Wednesday. I know I drove okay, or at least it felt like I did, but I have no memory of driving home that evening. So compared to that, I do feel better. But I feel pretty awful all around, and woke up this morning with my fever back up a bit. I'm not ready to go back to work tomorrow at all.... fortunately it's snowing and there's a lot for this area and if past patterns hold, we won't be having school tomorrow, which gives me another badly needed day to recover.
