Church Karens on Halloween

Remember that lady who thought I had Satan in me a couple posts back?
This is quite similar.

Annnd.. checked my blog on my phone and the video doesn't show up the way it does on my computer. So here's the YouTube link.

    1. That type seems to be Republican for sure. Very interested in knowing what's in everyone else's pants and deciding who's allowed to touch it. Afraid of anything and anyone who's not like them. At least that's how I was raised.

    1. Ha, good catch, I watched it on my phone 'cause my computer sounds still won't work, so I did not actually see that.
The religious people I knew growing up (and that crazy woman who thought I had the devil aboard) really are like that stereotype.

  3. I don't know how he kept that up for so long. I would have wanted to kill myself after 2 minutes of doing that.

    1. I think he has some inner strength that's impossible for regular people?

  4. I have never heard of anyone like this. I wonder if it died out?

    1. Oh good heavens no, it hasn't died out. I can take you to the little town where I lived and show you at least 200 women just like that one. I wish I were kidding, but I'm not. This is the brand of fundgelical Christianity I was raised with. Except in the video no one was speaking in tongues.

  5. Wow, I'm glad that I don't come in contact with too many people like that. My daughter is Wiccan and I'm Agnostic so they would have a field day with us. One of my neighbors said to my daughter after she decorated our window for halloween that she doesn't celebrate the devil's holiday. lol

    1. I don't come in contact with them anymore. As an atheist, I am free from church ladies who are trying to ruin, er, run my life.
I knew many christians who believed Halloween is an evil day, all about the devil etc. I guess it's okay for them to think that way, although I hate the indoctrination of children, but I really dislike them thinking they should be in control of how I look at things.

I loved your Halloween decorations you posted. :)

    1. A really wonderful high school friend grew up with that person as her mom. I'd like to say that Brenda grew up and didn't go that direction in her thinking, but I can't. :::sigh::

I have to admit seeing this video brought back a ton of memories, though. And it *is* hilarious, that's really what they're like, those fundagelicals.

  9. Thanks for the entertainment. I needed another distraction as my election anxiety is through the roof. Take care.

    1. I feel confident that the election will end up the way I want it to, but I wasn't when I went to sleep last night. Can't deny I didn't sleep well. :) I can't believe I grew up around people like that religious nut, though.

It's weird, most of the people I grew up with are still in that mindset. I often wonder how I escaped.
