You might be an asshole.

If you can't keep your distance from other people when you're in a store... you might be an asshole.

Wait your goddamn turn to grab a bag of rice or a can of refried beans. Geez.

If you're in that big of a hurry, you should have left your home earlier.

If you're impatient while someone is getting a gallon of milk or standing in front of the toothbrush display trying to figure out which one they want and you sigh, tap your foot, roll your eyes or otherwise show with your body language or your attitude that you're much more important than the other guy, you might be an asshole.

If you're in a big-assed hurry to get out of the store and you go out the entrance door and run over me while doing so, why, I believe you're an asshole.

It's a lot worse when you are a store employee and you don't even excuse yourself.

Dickhead.

Oh. And wearing a mask is a mandatory thing in the state of Oregon, stop your goddamn whining, put the mask on, do your shopping and go the fuck home.

If you're trying to go into a store and you yell at/argue with the person who's stationed at the entrance to make sure everyone is wearing a mask (aka doing their job under some really stressful circumstances) you might be an asshole.

If you're doing the yelling while other people are waiting for you to shut up because they're waiting in line and can't go in until you either go in or GTFO... you might be an asshole.

No, wait. That one definitely makes you an asshole.

So stay home.
Please.
Pay someone to do your shopping for you.

The grocery stores have that service, too.
So do craft stores and home improvement stores.
Restaurants, too. You go online, you order your stuff, you pay for it, then you go pick it up. They will bring it out to you!

Or hey!!
Order your stuff from Amazon.

You have a ton of easy choices.
Please don't choose being an asshole as your number one?

Thanks. Have a nice day.

  2. Was in an auto repair place yesterday. Despite the mandate, not a mask in sight. I wear one as a courtesy to the "essential workers" and a one finder wave to the Emperor, er, Governor.

    1. It's mandatory here and ENFORCED. If you're not masked, you aren't allowed in.
I don't care much for our governor, but on this we agree. I agree with most of the things she's done to handle this pandemic.

  3. But wait! You forgot that some people prefer to be assholes. It's their mission in life whether there is a pandemic or not. Remember? I agree with you 100% and when I see someone that's being an asshole, I always think to myself "where the hell is my roll of duck tape when I really need it?"

    1. My husband has had many concussions. It's starting to really show. One of the less-awful side effects is that he seriously has no filter anymore. Some of his commentary to the more entitled people we see is pretty funny. Well-deserved, too.

  4. I tried to post yesterday here and it would blink and disappear. So I'm giving it one last try.
I go with the assumption that everyone is an Ahole unless proven otherwise. Nice of me don'tcha think?

    1. No, it's a good idea!! That way you are never disappointed.
"Well, he's an asshole, I should have expected this!"

Blogger, while a great place to leave my thoughts, could really work on their tech skills, don't ya think?

  5. "stop your goddamn whining, put the mask on" EXACTLY! We need a nationwide mandatory mask law. I've read where if everyone wore masks this would go away in 6-8 weeks.

    1. Should have happened in the beginning. Too bad we don't have real leadership.

  6. I'm in agreement with Peg, most people are unless they prove otherwise. I've noticed that grocery stores here have someone standing near the front to catch those being non-compliant. That's how it is I guess. We have a couple at the office. I'm just exhausted with all these jerks.

    1. We went to Goodwill this morning. Some asshole kept taking his mask off and hanging it from one ear. Tnen an employee would ask him to put it back on. He did. Then as soon as the employee walked away, took it off again. What a tool.
