So the weather has heated up.
Does that every year around this time.
People have so much to say about how it's 'weird', but we're in summer and it's, well, hot.
Always cracks me up to hear people exclaim over the heat, as if it's a new thing. Six months from now they'll be doing the same over the cold/snow/ice. As if it never happened before.
So I've been staying indoors.
Not that I feel like going anywhere.
Feeling a little weak and wimpy.
No appetite. Which is probably fine, I could live for six months on what my body has stored. Haha, long enough to complain about the ice and snow and wind we get here.
Wednesday I have some tests.
Don't ask me what they are, as I can't remember right now.
But I'll be asking a bunch of questions when results come in.
Have to call the doc office tomorrow in fact, since I'm not messing around with waiting for them to call me about the other things that are supposed to get scheduled.
Made an appointment with my dentist, too.
One of my teeth is bugging me. No pain, but I think I either have a cavity or some other problem in one of my wisdom teeth. Yippee. Can't be in one of the teeth that's easy to get to. Oh hell no.
Blech.
Also, haven't said anything to my parents about what's been going on with me, as there is seriously not a single thing they can do other than worry over me. I figure they have enough to think about.
Once I have some answers, it's possible that I might share some information with them. Not sure yet. I guess it depends on what they tell me.
And how are YOU doing?
good in comparison. I hope you get the answers you need.
ReplyDeleteI too am complaining about constant high 90s and 100s and high humidity. It is thick, hard to breathe when outside. If I didn't have a dog I would not need to venture outside. So I am complaining about this heat wave. It just kind of figures though, just another boil on 2020's butt!
Every year it gets hot. And every year I hate the heat MORE. Does Izzy have shoes for the hot pavement or does she not seem to mind it?
DeleteOh, is there something wrong with 2020?
::ducking:::
And how are YOU doing?
ReplyDeleteBreathing air and taking nourishment.
There is always something. Right now, domestic violence involving a grand nephew. He is the victim.
Domestic violence is just a horror. I know so many people affected. I've cared for more than one child who's witnessed it on a daily basis in their homes. It shouldn't happen.
DeleteI hope your family member will be okay.
I'm so glad we live in a VERY small town in western KS. People don't care about the few of us around here!
DeleteI wish I could afford to live in a small town somewhere.
Delete::sigh:::
I hope all your Medical and Dental goes well and I agree, I often withhold telling anyone until it's necessary to or I'd need some assistance they could provide for transport or something I can't do for myself {after a Surgery etc.}. I laughed about your Weather comment, since people do that every Season as if it's New... or they're New. *LOL* Of coarse Newbies to the Desert who have to remain all Spring/Summer have every right to freak out that first Season... until you've gone thru it, you can't imagine what it's like! I guess the same could be said about Cold inclement Weather if you've not experienced that before either and a first time hits hard.
ReplyDeleteNot only does the general public do a collective freakout over what the weather's doing, our local news goes into on-air orgasms. ENDLESS coverage of an inch of snow or rain. They send reporters out to stand next to the freeway and scoop up a handful of snow to show everyone. It's madness. When it's hot they tell us how to stay cool. Hot tips (haha, see what I did there?) about staying next to an air conditioner and... wait for it... staying hydrated!
DeleteI have visited TX, NM and AZ when it's very very hot. With the exception of S TX, which was omgggg humid, that heat didn't bother me. When it's hot here, it makes me sick because of the humidity. Or, as women with big bazooms (I'm one of 'em) like to say, humidititty.
Well I hope the tests provide some clarity and get you back on the road to feeling better. Best of luck with the dentist. I am OK. Not sleeping great but everything else is doing alright. Take care.
ReplyDeleteSaw our local vampire today. He did a GREAT job last time but made up for it this time by hurting me. FOUR big assed needle sticks 'cause my dehydrated veins kept collapsing on him. ::sigh:: Between the new medication and the heat, apparently I'm not drinking enough water.
DeleteToo damn hot to sleep.
Ouch. Those vampires need to take it easy.
DeleteHe felt really bad about it. He's a really nice guy. Great personality and very serious about taking care of people. I assured him that I was fine, and I was. After the shit I went thru in the last two weeks, that was nothin'.
DeleteThat said, I have some nice bruises in the crook of my elbow. And another nice one on the back of my hand which is where he finally had to go to get blood.
I complain about our heat every year because I hate the Summers here. lol
ReplyDeleteOMG it's SO HOT there!! I have been there in the summer. You have every right to complain. :) It's 98 here today and I'd really rather not be out in it. We have an AC in our living room. Fans in the bedrooms. I hate it. I'd rather be somewhere it's not so hot, but yet here I am.
DeleteHello Luiz, thank you for stopping by. You have some great pictures on your blog.
