Well, some pissed off Democrat has made a petition, two actually, to make sure that if senators walk off the job again, they will be ineligible for re-election.

I hope it passes so I can laugh my ass off when the balance of power shifts again (as it always does and Republicans are once again in control of the state senate) and Democrats decide to walk out and are rendered ineligible to run again. Or they have to show up so that doesn't happen.

I really don't see any other way the Republicans were going to be heard on this one. I don't support the Republican party any more than I do the Democrats, but I do support this walkout. It's shitty legislation that wouldn't do a goddamn thing to help the climate. It would line the pockets of a lot of people, which, although it's not the publicly stated purpose, was the entire reason for the 'emergency' legislation.

I'm tired of our "representatives" here in our state.
And nationally.

I read a lot of political stuff lately, although I'm not sure why I bother, it's not like I can change a goddamn thing. There are one hell of a lot of people who are feeling the same way I do.

If there were a candidate people who feel this way could actually vote for, s/he would have a pretty good chance of winning.

I am looking forward to the inevitable consequences of this petition if it passes.
