we don't either. it's stupid. but what is worse is all the dufus's who post their love for their significant other on FB. LOOK AT THEM AND TELL THEM. I don't give a rats ass about your love for your spouse. Why do they do that? So awful!
I know every single day that Eric loves me. He has put me first for almost 40 years.
I make sure he knows I love him, too. He's a wonderful person and I'm so happy we found each other. If he were to get me flowers, candy, jewelry I'd be aggravated at the waste of money. :-D
HAHA my husband sent me an email this morning that said Happy VD because that was a young person's line to their much older boss (repeatedly) on a show we were watching the other night. We were laughing so hard. The guy's finally like, don't call it 'VD'... Of course, the same character asked if his boss wanted a 2nd flu shot to be 'extra sure' he was covered (medical drama).. we were dying.. totally deadpan he says 'it doesn't work like that'..
The Resident is the show. The most recent was valentine's day. The flu shot one was before. It's a good series. We like New Amsterdam, too. It's kind of like what you'd dream would happen in American health care. People actually caring and trying to make a difference, etc.
Ahh... could have looked it up but apparently my energy levels aren't enough to push the right keys to navigate through Google? :::snort::
I don't have cable hooked up to the momcave TV, although I could,there's a cable in the room. I just watch Amazon or Netflix or repeat one of the movies I've seen a hundred times. :-D
One of the things I appreciate about most of these shows (and the NBC 'Chicago' series of dramas, is that they show people OUTSIDE of podunk USA that there actually are happy gay couples (and unhappy of course), as well as transgender issues, racial/immigration issues and a million other things that provide a pretty balanced look, focusing on individuals, not on the system/religion so much like the news does.
