Huh. What to say.

I am stunned at the outcome of the election.
I did not vote for Hillary and did not vote for Trump.

Both of them are horrible people who did nothing to earn my vote or my respect or my trust.

Both of them are sellouts and liars. Depending on your source(s), they've done all kinds of other shitty things. Both are morally bankrupt and care nothing for you or for me. They're corrupt and dirty and neither one of them is fit to be my president.

Not that it matters, the election is over and the worst has happened... one of them won.

Hillary's campaign cheated in the primaries (oh yes, they fucking did) and stole the nomination from Bernie... and I believe that if Bernie had gone against Trump, the outcome would have been different.

But (speaking of cheating) because of the complete fuckery of the media... spending all that time adjusting the narrative and advocating for Hillary, it has turned into the biggest shitshow of my lifetime.

I miss my maternal grandfather every day. He was a good man who loved his family and had a kind and generous heart. But he would have been so saddened by the mess that was this election. Family against family, friend against friend.

The media started the name calling. The media put Hillary on the throne the same way they did with Obama. The coverage was completely slanted, she was always portrayed in a favorable photo while he looked like an oompa loompa, and listening to a "news" report was always blatantly pro-Hillary.

The media seemed to think it had everything all figured out. They announced poll results and surveys and were all but joining in a royal procession during the whole process. The last couple weeks was incredibly slanted.

I was stunned to learn that Trump won the election.

I don't know what made people vote however they voted.

I can tell you that I voted 3rd party because I am fucking sick and tired of the disgusting and corrupt and filthy two party system we have and the shit they have gotten away with because of it. And that if everyone who disliked their "choices" of candidates voted the way I did, there would be federal campaign funding for a REAL election instead of the joke we have now.

Yeah, the system *is* rigged... but not in the way Trump said.

I know that many of those people represented in the red zones were tired of being called stupid, racist, homophobic...oh, and 'a basket of deplorables'. That wasn't the smartest campaign statement Hillary made.

I can tell you that I'm weary. Tired of the name calling and the blaming and the hatred that people are feeling for their friends and family and neighbors and co-workers.

Over an election.

Trump has as much power over us as any other president has had. Our taxes will go up, we'll get screwed in new ways and life will go on. In four years, we'll get to see another shit show.

I will still try to be kind. To care about my friends and my family. To speak up when I see something that isn't right. To help someone when I can. I don't care about your skin color or your gender or your sexual orientation, either. I care about people.

Here's my guess for the future, though. Since you'd like to know. Wouldn't you?

I think the same skewed and twisted ego that caused Donald Trump to run will guide him in a way that nothing else would. He will want to prove everyone wrong. He will work hard to show people that he's really the right guy for the job. That he can do a good job in taking care of the country.

I doubt he can fuck things up worse than any other president we've had.
I have my fingers crossed, at any rate.
