Talked to Mabel on the phone this afternoon.

Apparently she got a cost of living increase on her August 5th check, too.
Hold on to something here, this will blow you away...

After the same three year wait for a raise that I had, Mabel got TWENTY FIVE CENTS!!!!

Yes, that's right. All for her. She can spend that money any way she'd like. Perhaps she can save up her quarters and at the end two three four weeks, treat herself to a cup of coffee. She doesn't get a lot of hours, you see. She used to be a site director, but her site was taken away from her without any explanation. Fluffy gave that site to her good friend Twatwaffle.

Since that happened, Fluffy has told many lies about it. In front of the big fish, she said that 'some' parents had complained about Mabel. When Mabel asked 'which parents and what was the nature of the complaint' questions, Fluffy cited confidentiality.

Um, no. If you, as a child care provider, are not taking care of business, you need to know. So you can correct issues if needed. As in so many other instances, Fluffy lied. I know, shocking. But yes.

Mabel also asked why she had never had a review. Unfortunately, she asked the question of Fluffy privately more than a week before she and Fluffy met with the big fish. So Fluffy had time to write up not one, not two, but THREE bogus reviews. When Mabel saw them and said she'd never seen them before, Fluffy called HER a liar. Well, not a liar, she just said that Mabel 'must be mistaken'.

When Mabel pointed out that she had not signed any of those reviews, Fluffy said, "Oh that's not unusual, many of them aren't signed."

Mabel isn't one to stand up for herself, and she was so shocked that she ended up not saying much of anything.

I suppose you won't be surprised to learn that Mabel isn't going to return to work for Fluffy in the fall either.

Mabel is going to submit her resignation next week. Or maybe the week after. Or maybe the day before school starts. She isn't sure. She doesn't have a job lined up yet, but she is not going to work for Fluffy anymore.

Can't understand why.
