Can I walk four blocks?

I don't know if I can or not.

But the next interview I have is in downtown Portland on Friday.
I can drive there. I just hate doing it.
I don't like the traffic because everyone else knows where they're going and I don't. So I end up going the wrong way down a one way street or slowing people down and having them honk at me while I try to read numbers on buildings or street signs.

I was downtown today, actually. Drove my parents to the train station so they could take a little trip. I managed it fine, although I didn't have to park anywhere and didn't have to find a place I've never been. And yep, I hated it. Pain in the ass if you should want to know.

So the local money sucker (but it's FEDERAL money... not real money!!) MAX train runs to within four city blocks of my destination. And would be a very good way to get there, as I would not have to deal with traffic, parking or a great deal of traffic/parking induced stress.

Of all the jobs I've applied for, I think this one would be the best fit.
I get my stitches out on Thursday, so it will be a little easier to walk. I can bring my cane. If I plan carefully, I can go slow, too. I really feel like that would be my best option... except I can't wear a nice outfit. Because walking more than just a little bit in those sandals is a thing I cannot do. Nope. So I'd have to dress in regular clothing.

So I'm pondering.
Dress comfortably, have almost no stress but try to walk four blocks on a two-weeks-post-surgery ankle or dress up, stress out, try to find a place to park and still have to walk a bit.

I'm leaning toward comfortable at this point, not gonna lie.

This is all such a pain in the ass.
