I took Tami out to lunch on Saturday.
I don't even remember the last time we actually went somewhere together.
It's not that we don't want to hang out.
It's just hard because life. Happens. All. The. Time.
It was nice, though.
We had so many things to talk about. We sat in the restaurant for two hours and discussed, well, stuff.
Most of those things are things I can't write about here. :) And Tami and I will be best friends forever... we know too much.
It's a good thing to have a friend who understands, isn't it?
And I decided that life can wait occasionally. I think we need to do this every month. What do you think, Tami? :)

ReplyDeleteYou always hear stories about people who don't see each other for a long time but then they hang out and it's like they've never been away? Yep. That's us. I love talking with my friend, she understands me and she's so smart. And I'm so glad I have someone to share girl secrets with. :)
DeleteOh I definitely think we need to do this more often. I could not believe how much we had to catch up on and discuss, but I came home feeling . . . I don't know . . .more peaceful and like I was carrying a few less burdens. Let's PLEASE do this again. I think it does us both a lot of good.

And then try to arrange our lives to make sure it happens every month.
Nothing like catching up with an old friend how knows all your "stuff". I just did that myself last week and yes it is hard making time to get together - life is busy and I am really going to try and make more time for those people who make my life a little more special/sparkly. Glad you are doing well :)
