I told you last week about what one of the grandmas I work with had to say about the ruling that two consenting adults can be married in any state now.
And today she told me that she really doesn't care about who gets married. That she has enough to worry about. And that she has a couple family members who are gay. One who is bi. And that she loves them, and supports them.
I asked her what had changed.
And she said, "My heart."
One person at a time.
Exactly! One person at a time. There is hope out there.
ReplyDeleteI hope someday we can all focus on the important things. Love? It's important, but doesn't need to be micromanaged.
DeleteHaving a heart makes a huge difference.
ReplyDeleteI was pleased to hear that from her. Surprised, a little.
