You Will Not Worry!!

I got spammed a bit this week. I deleted them from my email but not before copying one I found amusing..

My name is Ervin.
I demand to reveal you a satisfying commodity to fix botherations with your companion.
You need to view
and here he placed a hyperlink that I did not click on and ended with You Will Not Worry!!
I don't think he actually knows me, or he would never have said I won't worry. What a maroon. The link had an ending that makes me think it was from some other country, but I think the crappy grammar is a clue that English is not 'Ervin's' first language.

And my companion isn't causing me botherations. As I write this, he has been neutralized. He's snoring from the bedroom. :)

We went out today and had a picnic. It was misty and gray and chilly. We had a great campfire, roasted hot dogs and had some snacks, chatted about all sorts of things and just enjoyed being together.

I miss the kids, but the friendship I have with my husband is still one of the best things I've ever had. We always have so much to talk about. My favorite thing is that he's my biggest fan.

I think he's pretty awesome, too. I'm glad that the foundation we built in the 6.5 years we were married before having children turned out to be a strong foundation. Best person I know.

Downside of the day... forgot my camera. I got my cell phone out and took a couple photos, there was a log in the fire that looked exactly like a dragon. A knot on the wood looked like an eye, the heat caused the eye to weep. The end had a split that looked like a mouth, and because of the way the heat was going, the fire appeared to emanate from the dragon's mouth.

Why am I telling you this instead of showing you? Because I somehow did not save the photos in my phone.

::sigh::

In other news. Ants. Tired of the ants. From what I hear, we're not the only people being plagued this year. They're going nuts out at our school, but only in the areas that weren't sprayed with pesticides. There was a notice posted on the front door at the school saying which pesticide they'd used and why. (Carpenter ants).

The ones we have aren't carpenter ants. They're much smaller. But they're showing up in odd places where there is no food and there are no food particles.

I ordered some Terro ant bait. From reading here and there on the internet, it sounds like that's what I need. And since I have no small children and no dogs to get into it, I'm unconcerned about leaving it out.

This coming week is tie dye week at my school. We do it every year, every year it wipes me out and every year about mid week during tie dye week, I say, "What the HELL was I thinking???"

I will have to mix dyes tomorrow, find examples of the many types of shirt designs, find all the smocks and the table I need and the shower curtain I used last time and all the tie dye rags and the 5 gallon bucket and the rubber bands and and and and...

It all has to go with me on Monday morning.

On most days, my morning program is bigger than my afternoon program. And oddly, I have a large number of children who only attend mornings. So I'll be hauling it all out, helping kids tie and dye shirts, and putting it all away twice a day.

Good times.

I finally figured out one of the reasons I worry at night.
A smarter person would have figured it out sooner, I think.

All day long I go, go, go. In the evening, I am online chatting with friends and sitting here at the kitchen table drawing my little doodly stuff.

And at bedtime, all the input stops. I'm left lying in the dark with all my thoughts crowding into my head. The crazy train leaves the station and starts chugging around the track. Around and around and around.

During the day I just don't have time to worry.

So now I'm heading for bed. I *think* I might be too tired to ponder the mysteries of the universe tonight.

How are things where you are?

  1. Life is always good for me. I sometimes forget that God is in control ultimately and I therefore have nothing to worry bout in the long run, but once I remember that...

    1. Suldong!!!! Nice to 'see' ya!
Been following you around the internet, reading the things you're writing.

Life is indeed good. Even when things are a pain in the ass, it's good. Happiness abounds.

  2. Botherations ~ I must remember this "word". Could come in handy. At least you got a laugh out of it, eh?

    1. It made me laugh, yes. Astounding what 'they' will do to try to get you to click on their links. I am so, so careful when I get one of those, afraid I might accidentally click the mouse if I hover over the link. Ervin must be bitterly disappointed in me today. :)

  3. Nice that you and your Hubby had a picnic together. Sounds like a lot of fun, just being together outside of the house and the normal routines.

    1. I did NOTHING the entire afternoon. I brought my drawing supplies. And left them in the car. Sat in my chair next to the fire pit and poked at the logs with a stick. It was extreme relaxation, and now I'm having trouble getting motivated. That's not new, though. Motivation isn't easy for me.

  4. You know how friends send you email and they put entire lists of people on that email? I think that is one reason a lot of spam goes around. Irks me when people include me in a "To" instead of a "BCC"! The kind of spam I get, usually has a friends name, but when you hover... it's not the friends email.

Can't believe you forgot your camera AND didn't save the photos on your phone. YOU KNOW I WOULD WANT TO SEE... RIGHT?

    1. It was SO COOL, too. I was very vexed for having forgotten my camera in the first place. Grr. Yeah, I usually reply to people who send a big email with everyone's addresses on it with a letter I copy/pasted when it happens. HATE that!

  5. I like a picnic. I have a little app on my phone. So can check the tides. If it's morning and out I make a couple of bacon rolls and a flask of coffee. Grab the mini folding chairs and drag however has decided to stay, down to the beach at the bottom of the road. Sitting there for an hour watching the ship's sail by is always interesting but not so good for the waistline though )))

    1. While we were at the coast I was constantly checking the tide. We ate very well without the picnicking, though... just wanted to be able to go down to the beach. :)
