So I heard a story today about a nine year old boy from one of our programs.
His mom picked him up from program about four weeks ago, and they were driving home. He was waving at people from the back seat (something he frequently does) and shouting a word out to each car that passed them.
He said it once, and she had the stereo on and thought she must have misheard him.
And then they were sitting at an intersection, and cars were going by and he was waving to them and cheerfully calling out, "Cunt!!"
She said, horrified, "What did you say??"
"Cunt!" he said. "It's French for hello!"
"Uh, NO!! It is NOT!! Where did you hear that word???"
"From Emily."
Emily is a classmate, also in the 4th grade. She told him the word and lied to him about the meaning to get him to say it. She's done this a couple times during the school year, and his mom has told him to check with her when he doesn't know the meaning of the word... and not to rely on Emily for the meaning.
::snort::
And I really do not like that word.
But I thought the story was hysterical and had to share.
yup Hate that word,but I agree it is kind of funny in context
ReplyDeletehahaha French my arse! lol Hate the word with a passion myself.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap! Reminds me of the time I got into trouble for saying "f... you" to our babysitter, for trying to make a 9 year old take a nap so she could watch her soaps in peace. My Mom asked me "do you know what that means?" .."no, what does it mean?"...."NEVERMIND what it means, don't say it again!". Ha ha ha
ReplyDeletehate that word too, but thats hilarious :)
ReplyDeleteNo like the word either, but your story did get a chuckle from me. :0)
