If you've been with me awhile, you know about the work comp shit I've gone through for the last almost five years.
The company I work for doesn't handle work comp claims in house, instead handing off to an insurance company who doesn't take care of injured workers unless they have to.
Insurance companies aren't in business to help people. They're in business to make money. If they pay claims, they aren't making money. So instead of just taking care of the things that have happened to me doing my goddamn job, they have fought nearly every step of the way.
My integrity has been questioned, they've suggested practically from the beginning that they'd take care of things if I'd quit my job, they've dragged their feet and refused to pay money they owe me. There are still two payments they owe (the judge at the last hearing awarded me a small sum) and I still don't have that.

This week I have another mandatory closing exam.
I've had I think five? for the same knee.
I have never lied about my injuries, I have done everything I was supposed to do, I have worked through some horrendous stuff, not wanting to let my kids down. It's called a work ethic.
I have been in more or less constant pain for nearly five years.
Hell of a way to run a railroad.
But, but, but, by all this time you are supposed to cave in. That is what they teach in crap weasel school.
