Laundry and MORE ants!!

I am going out tomorrow in search of chrysanthemum oil.
And my cousin, who is supposed to be heading into town this week says she has some diatomaceous earth (spell check doesn't like that word) that she will bring.

One little grain of sugar or one bit of dropped food and they just come from nowhere. It's annoying the shit out of me.

In the corner behind the dishwasher (mine is portable, so when I move it out to use it, I can see behind) is a small folcid spider. I have left him (her?) alone.

They don't bite or do rude things like run down the wall and chase a person, they don't bark or chew on the rugs... not a bad pet to have around.

Underneath the web is a small pile of ant bodies, sucked dry. I can't sweep them up without disturbing the spider, so I have just left it all there. And I admit to having great happiness when I see that little pile of ants. I'd like to formally invite every small spider within 100 miles to come over and join in on the feast. Too bad I can't make reservations and assign them to specific areas, huh?

We went to sprawlmart today. I don't usually go there on weekends, and certainly not in the late afternoon, as that's when all the walmartians come out, but Eric and I were lazy today and we just didn't get going until then.

There was the usual crop of interesting and smelly individuals, but there were just regular people there, too. It was noisy, the PA system was turned up so loud I think it loosened the fillings in my back teeth. Kids were running around while their parents ignored their needs, some guy with a REALLY LOUD tune on his cell phone happened to be standing next to Eric when his phone rang. He let it ring several times next to Eric's head. I was full of admiration for Eric when he didn't just turn around and punch the man in the head.

We bought some apples and a few t shirts and some plastic storage bins.

I also got some canned air to clean up my computer keyboard and some other random little things. We used the self checkout because it's faster, but there was a glitch. We ran the canned air over the screen, and the system blinked 'please wait' at us. When the cashier finally came over to assist us, she had to use her card and a code to say that she'd verified our ages.

I asked why, as it had never occurred to me to use canned air to get high, but she said that's exactly what people (usually teenagers) do with it. So the system has an age verification when a person purchases it.

Learn something new every day. :)

I managed to get temporarily caught up on the laundry, but then I changed the bed and took a shower. The sheets and the stuff I had on and the stuff Eric had on that also ended up in the hamper pretty much ensure two more loads tomorrow when I combine them with what's currently harboring wildlife in the corner of the bedroom.

And tomorrow it's back at it. 5 AM.
:::sigh::

I love my job, but 5 AM is not my friend.

  1. Well, they say we learn something new everyday; canned air? who knew???

    I hope that 5 AM is easier for the next five months than it was for the past seven.
