This isn't much of a post...

First off, do you suppose this is the reason I have comment moderation turned on?  From Lithuania this afternoon...

 "
I would like to thank you for the efforts you've put in writing this
site. I'm hoping the same high-grade web site post from you in the upcoming as
well. In fact your creative writing skills has inspired me to get my own blog now.

Really the blogging is spreading its wings fast. Your write up
is a good example of it.

my website ::deleted, but contained the word 'fuck' ::
Or maybe this gem from India...
Hi there! I'm at work browsing your blog from my new iphone!
Just wanted to say I love reading through your blog and look forward to all
your posts! Keep up the great work!

Review my website; (also deleted, also full of 'fuck')

I get three or four of these a day, with active links embedded. All from 'anonymous'. That guy gets around!!

So I guess comment moderation will stay on for awhile longer.

Another thing I've seen bloggers do is refuse to allow anonymous comments. I don't know if that would work or not, and this is easier for me because I can delete the comments unpublished. Taking no chances of a malicious link that might be passed on to my readers.

I feel good. I'm more tired than usual, but I don't feel sick or bad like I did this time last week.

Work is going along as it usually does, I have one guy that's a handful and I'm not entirely sure what to do with him. More on that in a later post.

    1. Several someones, evidently. I don't know if they're trying to virus computers or trying to phish for information. Either way, their comments are sent off into never-never. Idiots.

    Hi, Mental-
FYI, I post anonymously because I've given up trying to get a comment to post otherwise. Without having a blog or web page link, that seems like the only option. Good luck with the Lithuanians and Indians. : )

  4. Anonymous, the digital pickpockets.

  5. Not allowing anonymous comments works VERY WELL! Anyone that makes legitimate comments to you, obviously knows you. That said, anyone that regularly comments to blogs, should have an account that makes them recognizable.

    1. Well, I do have Ellen, who comments occasionally, and does so as Anonymous but signs her name. And I don't want to make it so she can't comment if she wishes to. I'll probably stick with things the way they are now. Approving each comment before it appears. Hey, at least that way you all know I read your comments!!

  6. Oh my, I got all hot and scared reading this post: I had just returned from Lithuania, and yes, I had sent you a comment, but no, I did not add a link at all, so kind of relieved when it was not my comment that had to be blocked. I agree with the above hugger: some people seem to have no life!
Still glad to see you are getting yours back, slowly but surely.

    1. Sometime you should write up your life and send me something for a guest post... it sounds interesting. You get to travel, something that some people only dream of. :)

  7. I blocked anonymous comments for the same reason. I went this route instead of moderation, because I can't approve comments from my phone, and I've only used my computers sporadically over the last couple of years. Maybe I'll be able to access my blog and comments a bit better when I get a new phone.

Stupid jerks should be forced to listen to their partners in crime-the ones who call your home and try to scare you into giving them your personal information. Aywholes.

    1. I have been getting a ton of calls on my cell phone recently, telling me that I've WON!!!! I win a lot of things, apparently, but since I make no effort to claim my prizes, I can't imagine why they keep trying. :)

Would it kill you to comment?
