There are tons of synonyms for 'snippet'.

And coincidentally, that's what I have for you.
No, not synonyms. Snippets.

One of the smaller kids in my program told us today that she has a baby sister. Her baby sister is two years old.

I said, "I didn't know you had a baby sister! What's her name?"

She looked puzzled.
Tried to concentrate.

And I said, "You don't know your baby sister's name?!"

She said, "Well, it's a hard name!"

Heehee.

Finally she said, "Octavia." (no, that's not really it... but the name she told me is also four syllables.) Cracked me up. She's so cute. And she's a smart kid, she just.. blanked for a minute there.

MRI on Monday morning.
Bringing my own 100% cotton clothing with no snaps or hooks or zippers or metal. I HATE the dehumanizing aspect of wearing something a medical facility provides for me.

I highly doubt that work comp is going to pay for shit, although if you want my opinion (of course you do, why else would you be here?) it's about 99% the fault of the medical treatment I received and did not receive pre and post-ACL replacement. After having the rotator cuff fixed, I walked around on a torn ACL for 10 fucking months. It's not a wonder there's not a whole lot of cartilage or anything much left in my knee.

Not a wonder it hurts all the fucking time.

And although we've won all the legal games, I am still waiting for some money to arrive in my mailbox.

Fucking assholes.

At this point, I do not care if work comp pays or not.
I will have my own insurance take care of things.
And we can all duke it out later.

Obamacare is going to take away my decent insurance policy on January 1, so time is important. If something has to be done, it needs to be done right away.

I have a mild infection in the urinary tract.
I know this, I am 52 years old for fuck's sake. I called my doctor's office about it. The person I got on the phone was sort of ditzy. And she said, "Do you think you need to see the doctor?"

I told her, "You tell me. I have been seeing her for 14 years. I am 52 years old. I am pretty sure that at this point in my life, I know what's going on in this case. If she can't call in a prescription for me, let me know right away, please. I have to be at work this afternoon."

They called something in for me. And I forgot to go pick it up after work. Because I am thinking about other stuff. And just didn't go get it.
:::sigh::

I will be baking a peach cobbler sort of thing.
We've been invited over to our son's house for dinner.
Another one of those infant milestones? One for the baby book?

:)

And it's bedtime. I'm tired. It's been a long damn week.

Here's hoping your knees don't hurt, mine hurt enough for both of us.

  1. Sorry that you have a UTI, but they might want to have cultured your urine before writing an Rx for it. I hope they got the right one, and that you get started on it sooner rather than later :-D.

  2. Webster is right. You need the right antibiotic, so if you don't feel lots better after 24 hours, call them again for a culture.

  3. Mmmmmmmmmmm, peach cobbler! It's getting cool enough around here I just might have to make one, too!

  4. Feel better. But I can't help but wonder why your insurance will change in Jan. (And incidentally, if the plan is the same as the state plan here that they are modeled after, it's the golden ticket, so it may not be so bad)

Peach cobbler would be great right about now... but I'd have to go get all the stuff to make it, and after the day I've had, I'm not getting off the couch. (No... really. I've had to pee for an hour and I just don't want to get up.)
