Lyssa has to have a photo for her staff profile at work.
I took her outside this morning for a couple, but didn't have to work too hard to get a good one. :)
What was really cool to me was seeing the resemblance to her great grandmother, my grandma Fern.
Changed to black and white and I know I'm not the only person who sees it, right?
Beautiful photograph, but then your daughter is a gorgeous young woman. You're right, there is an amazing likeness even after 4 generations.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy reading your blog but rarely take the time to comment for which I apologise. I'll make more of an effort, it almost always gives me a laugh as I start my day on this side of the world!

You don't have to comment. But I have to admit appreciating comments from the people who read here. Nice to know I'm not all alone out there.
DeleteAnd thank you. I think she's lovely, too. And a very good person. Integrity and a sense of humor and she can cook.
There's a huge resemblance and both are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI refrained from posing Lyssa in the same pose, but I should do it sometime just to see. Obviously not the same person, but I think my grandma would be so happy to see how much Lyssa looks like her. We lost my grandmother when Matt was three, which was three years before Lyssa's birth.
DeleteI saw the resemblance right away and they are both beautiful women.
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you. I have to agree, of course.
Delete+1 All.
ReplyDeleteAww.
DeleteShe looks lovely and you did an excellent job taking the photo. :)
ReplyDeleteI've ordered a copy for my mom and one for myself. It is a really good one.
DeleteMy girl is a sweetheart inside and out.
I do see a resemblance esp around the mouth. She looks really cute! Great photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! How has the move gone? All settled? Are you blogging again?
DeleteBeautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteAw thanks. I think so, too. She's a keeper. And of course it's too late to get my money back anyway. Ha.
DeleteYup. She's yours alright! :) Funny, we just went through old pics of the family yesterday (some from the 1800's) and there's a distinct family resemblance in ALL of them.
ReplyDeleteCourse, that's what happens when the family's HUGE... bound to get some dominant traits.
It's really interesting to me to see that.
DeleteMy cousin Denette's father was my father's identical twin. I don't see the resemblance, but people who know us notice it right away.
I am looking through my old posts trying to find a photo that I posted of my dad and his brother next to a photo of me at the same age, 9 or 10, I think.
It's striking how alike they are! Same eyes and smile!
ReplyDeleteGrandma Fern had a quirky sense of humor, too.
DeleteI think she'd be pleased to see how much Lyssa is like her. I know I am. :)
That smile, and the eyes... the shape of the nose... they look very much alike!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful!
I can't argue.
DeleteI should try to figure out what year that photo was taken.
::mental math:::
I believe the photo of my grandma was taken in about 1922.
Lyssa is looking so very grown up. Wow. She's a beauty and, yup - the resemblance is something else - even the look in their eyes.
ReplyDeleteLyssa and your grandma are beautiful!!!
