My brain is temporarily out of order.. apparently missing as well

So if you see it out wandering around, send it home.
It's a little blue, my brain, and makes the most adorable little meeping noises when it's out in the world. It's not much trouble, and if you approach it slowly, without making sudden moves, you can probably catch it.

I just wasn't paying attention and it wandered off.

I'm glad the week is over. I don't want or need to overshare, but I am 52 years old. There are certain hormonal changes that are making me crabby and out of sorts, and because I am 52, those changes are unpredictable, making me even more crabby and out of sorts.

Dammit.

Another couple kids wore their shirts today. Bryan's* mom bought his shirt a little small, so he won't be able to wear it very long. A shame as it's really spectacular. He's one of the more careful kids, and made a chevron design of green and blue. He was really proud of it.

Samantha* made a tank top. She did a hot pink heart in the center, but sort of a lot of random colors all over the rest of it. It looks pretty much like a kid did it. And she couldn't be more pleased.

I've had teachers come by and comment about the dyes and have passed on the contact information for Dharma Trading. I get all my supplies from there. Fair prices, excellent products, and when you call their 800 number, you get a person on the other end of the phone who speaks English as their first language. Which is important to me, because I find it difficult to understand heavy accents and to catch everything that's being said in a conversation. Frustrating.

The trip to the DMV was really exciting this morning, too. I now have an embarrassing temporary license, complete with a very ugly photo of myself.

I have had once license photo I liked in my life. I was 20 and newly married. And gorgeous. You couldn't take a bad photo of me.

Now all the photos I appear in are bad.

Anyway. Bed.

  3. I totally understand on the driver's license thing. You can't wear your glasses in the photos anymore, so taking them off makes you look like you haven't slept for weeks. You can't smile, so you look like a PO'd b---h. I despise my photo and refuse to look at it. EVER. In fact, when I open my wallet to get something out, I cover up the photo with my thumb so I don't have to see it. There is only one person on the planet who takes good pictures of me. She writes this blog.

    1. They MADE me smile for mine because, get this, I smiled last time. And they're now using facial recognition software and the woman behind the counter (who really hates her job at the DMV) told me that the computer didn't recognize me as the same person.

Doesn't matter. All the chins make me look weird anyway.

  4. Today was the national food drive for the PO. I saw the food in the bags. Delivered the mail. Threw the thank you card in the box. And drove away.

    Without. The. Food.

While I did go back and grab it on the way back up the street, I swear it's a wonder I managed to get dressed in the morning.

Tomorrow we are running a 5k in a new town. Thank gawd it's a circle or I'd likely never make it to the finish line.

    1. I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't laugh, but I'm just visualizing you tossing notes into boxes and driving off, la la la... then going, "Oh, SHIT." ::snicker::

  5. Your brain did wander by earlier today. We talked for a bit about how beautiful you truly are.
BTW....the change? Fun. Now you can be on all your worst behavior and something to blame for it.

    1. While my brain was temporarily stopped in your vicinity, why didn't you toss a net over it and call me? That little thing is hard to find, it wanders constantly!!

      Worst behavior? Me? :)
