How do you know it's the weekend?

Why, by the migraine, of course!

Slept most crappily on Friday night. Up and down and up and down and up and down... even though I was really sleepy I was having a hard time staying asleep.

::shrug:::

At seven on Saturday morning the migraine had arrived. I got outside a migraine pill and went back to bed. When I got up around 10:20, the headache was gone.

We did the usual weekend activities, hauled a load of stuff to Goodwill, did the grocery shopping, filled up with gas.

Eric barbecued some chicken wings and thighs, even though it was cold and rainy, someone rang our doorbell wanting to discuss Hitler

(I said, "I am familiar with him, and I don't do politics here at home. Thanks for stopping by.") I did some laundry and some dishes, a little tangly stuff, chatted with my kids, and just generally Saturday-ed.

And now, at 9 PM I am ready for bed. I don't feel too bad headache-wise, but the nausea has arrived with this one, so I am not going to ignore it. Getting away from the computer.
:)

I'm sure I'll be happy and hunky dory on Sunday, I plan to go Goodwill hunting with my man. How exciting is that?

  1. Ringing your doorbell and talking about Hitler? Seriously?

You don't want to "drop and shop" at Goodwill? I noticed that you dropped off stuff on Saturday and will shop on Sunday. Or was it time related?

My headaches lately are related to the weather. Damn barometric pressure.

    1. Pat, you had to click on the word Hitler... it was a reference to the post I did last weekend after the amazing photo retouch done by his political opponents. His name isn't really Hitler, of course.

As for drop and shop? NOT on a Saturday afternoon. Too many of the great unwashed and their broods of ill mannered little a-holes. Can't even walk in the store when it's like that, too crowded.

So we set the alarm to be there when it opens. We have shopped and are out the door before the unwashed arrive. Evidently they either sleep in or go to church on Sundays.

    1. It was a lovely day. Accomplished a few things that had been nagging at me. Made it to Goodwill at opening, within 25 minutes the store was packed, but that was okay, we were leaving by then.

  3. Yeah. My migraine started on Saturday morning. Could have been the three "lime on the coconut" margaritas I had for my Birthday Friday night... and the fact that I went to bed at 1am and then was in the gym at 730.

    1. Happy birthday to yooooooooooooooooooooou.

I think you'd have been justified in skipping the gym.
