Since I'm done with the whole baby thing, it seems unfair that I still have to play hormone games, but hey, life isn't fair, we all know that.
The first photo shows you how scraped up my old chairs are. I got them at Goodwill for $8.99 apiece. When I got them home and started cleaning them up, I found the Ethan Allen stamp on the bottom. Someday I will find a place here where furniture can be dipped to take the finish off, or get off my butt and find a way to do it myself, then I'll refinish them. I've had them 14 years and they're still as sturdy today as they were when I got them at Goodwill.
The photo also shows you how HUGELY fat and ass-ugly my shoes are. But they accommodate the orthotics and my feet are happy for the first time in years.
A small price to pay. And since my fashion trends are no nail polish, easy blow dry hair, almost never any makeup, things like tie dye, jeans and pac man jackets/ shirts with hoods, I'm not really worried about the fashion police anyway.
My big-assed man shoes with tie dyed laces
for my dad to replace his old one
Whenever I put hearts on something, there's always one on the sleeve. My little joke.
wow, my laundry room is dirty and dingy... someone should paint in there.
Mom's shirt. To go with Dad's. Shh. She doesn't know. They're so cute when they wear matching stuff.
I love the whole "heart on the sleeve" bit. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteYour shoes look perfectly fine to me. I just got fitted for orthotics a couple of weeks ago. The podiatrist said that he likes New Balance shoes so I'm hoping that the orthotics will fit in them.
Get men's wide shoes. Just about anything will fit into them I think. The shoes recommended online were 'Dr Comfort' and were close to 200 bucks. I don't fuckin' think so!!
DeleteThe heart on the sleeve surprises no one who knows me. :)
Those are great Ami! Shoes are pretty good too :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it IS just me, but I think the shoes are the butt ugliest ones I've had to date. I do enjoy the rainbow laces, though. One more thing that makes me smile during the course of a day.
DeleteLove the laces !Feel better
ReplyDeleteI am feeling nearly human today. Hoping this one is OVER OVER OVER.
DeleteLove it... the shoes, laces and the shirts!
ReplyDeletePS: Do you realize how fast you age, once the hormones are gone? ... or was that just me?
Damn it! Let me entertain my fantasies without that dose of reality, will ya???
DeleteTie Dye always gives me flashbacks to summer camp where they forced me to hike until I got blisters, canoe and get sunburned so bad I got sent home and jump in the lake at 6 AM at for some ungodly thing called the Polar Bear Club.
ReplyDeleteI am breaking out in hives just looking at these pictures.
Ohhhh, not a happy camper??
DeleteCute Shirts!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you! I was hoping to dye some more over the weekend, but got sidelined by the migraine from hell (for this month). Stupid hormones.
DeleteI will really work at getting some of it done this week, I need more short sleeved stuff to work in.
I love the creative outlet it provides.
And I just bought a package of underwear and a package of socks to dye, too.
I refuse to grow up.
