Not the rest of the story...

I'll have more court humor for you when I manage to write about it again.
It's... percolating.

Between trying to get stuff ready to tie dye, close out my site for the end of the year, catching a lunch meeting with some people about summer plans for program, being tired because I have this little hamster on the wheel in my brain and he really is nocturnal...

Well, I just didn't get to it.

It was hot today. 87 out there. Can't take the kids out for more than 15 minutes, but they didn't want to be out in it much. I'm pretty mean about making sure they stay hydrated, too.

But sometimes I sort of forget to drink enough water myself.

oops.

Gonna be a good week to tie dye, no rain in the forecast. Of course the weather guy's NEVER wrong, is he?

We went to the grocery store on Saturday and today we're out of laundry soap.

:::sigh::

So I'll be stopping at the grocery store in the morning on my way home from work (which is today as you read this, yes, we are once again traveling in time) and getting the few things we forgot on Saturday.

I hate that.

And now, I have taken medication to help me sleep and it's actually about to put me to sleep here at the keyboard.

Talk amongst yourselves.

  1. Do you get out in June? Wow, this year has really flown by. I can't believe is is 87° there already! Are you working the summer too? I can't remember if you always do that. Hang in there Ami. I see the light at the end of that tunnel.

  2. Looking forward to your court story, I'm thinking it's gonna be a humdinger!

    Warming up nicely here too.

    I usually have to start a new grocery list while putting away the groceries as I realize what shit I forgot on the trip I just got home from!!

  3. You fall asleep at the keyboard too? Don't you hate it when the keys stick to your face! Me too.

    1. I've never had the keys stick to my face, but I did bonk my forehead on the edge of the table once.

      It made a bump RIGHT in the middle.

      I showed it to my kids at work and told them I was going to be a unicorn when I grow up.
      :)

  4. For someone from a snowy state 87 must seem REALLY hot?

    1. Yeah, and to beat it to death 'cause I know you've heard it a million times, it's NOT the heat, it's the humidity. I do fine in 105 in Eastern Oregon, but at 90 here it's just TOO DAMN HOT for me.

      We don't get a lot of snow in our area, though. We do get some every year, but usually not enough to mention.

  5. 90 is too hot for anyone I think! Drink your water, and grab a gatorade now and then too

    1. I drink a TON of water, buy cases of bottled water and keep one in the back room at work. Our school is old, and there are lead abatement filters on the fountains.... and the water tastes like metal.

      So I buy cases, and share with whatever assistant I have. Been through four of them this year.

      ::sigh::
