Success... well, mostly.

I will post some photos for you and tell you the whole story tomorrow.

I realized, though, that I've been feeling pretty decent... and sometimes have a tendency to think I can do too much. But it has only been 9 weeks today since the knee got sliced and diced, and it is still healing.

So it's a little tired and achy and a bit swollen this evening. Will ice it and rest up for tomorrow, since I don't take time off work when things hurt. Otherwise, I would have missed the last year of work. :)

One of my friends brought his kids and taught MY kids some Yoga. Presented it as strength training/preparedness for a career as a spy. The kids ate it up. Had a BLAST.

We ran around the school doing a scavenger hunt, solving clues which had been written in code and hidden. Each one had to be found and solved so they could figure out where to look for the next one.

And instead of me telling the story twice, I will stop there and head for bed a little early this evening.

Reese told me a story today, (and I can't even remember it) one of the variety where you present a story and ask a question and the listener is so caught up in trying to figure out the answer that they don't realize you've given them incorrect information.

Like this old one.

A jumbo jet with 300 passengers crashes and explodes exactly on the border between the USA and Canada. Where do you bury the survivors?

He guessed Canada AND the USA.

And I said, "Reese, you don't bury survivors. It would make them mad since they SURVIVED the crash."

He thought it was great. And spent the rest of the evening going around the room and asking the other kids the same question, delighting in telling them, "You don't BURY survivors!! Geez!!!"

But in this case, we are going to bury the survivors of the afternoon... my left knee and my right one.

And give those poor suckers a respite.
Was gonna say break, but PLEASE... no more of that shit!!!
