Short and well, short

Lots going on.
Can't take time to catch everyone up right now, but here's a little tidbit for ya.

I got tired of waking up at least three times a night with the pain in my right knee and had surgery on December 7th to get it fixed.

I kept it off my blog because I had a more than adequate demonstration that the work comp bottom feeding attorneys were not only reading, but were more than happy to pass the link to my personal blog to my employer.

Which turned out fine, I am sure I have never had so many people hanging on every word as I did for awhile there.

Anyway, I did not want the comp insurer getting wind of it until I was ready for them to find out.

And I faxed the surgical report to my attorney on Monday. Since it's a legal document entered into evidence, and that means the other guy gets to see it too, they now know that I had my knee fixed.

That the surgeon did indeed find and repair a tear in the meniscus as well as taking care of a couple other little problems.

Things are better in some ways.
Still the same in others.

I'm not going to go into great detail right now, since of course the hearing is today.

Wish me luck.

I kept thinking that just being honest and straightforward should have been enough to get me the help I needed. I guess honesty isn't enough to protect injured workers, huh?

I'm very grateful to the friend who explained a huge amount of the work comp system to me and explained to me just about a year ago why I needed to get an attorney.

:)

  5. Unfortunately, bottom feeders don't care about honesty. They just want to eat you up and spit you out. So glad you have an attorney, and I'm so glad you've got a hearing today! You're in my thoughts and prayers. {{hugs}}
