Woohoooooo

It was pizza party day.

We did a little figuring, and based on the number of kids I have and the number of minutes each of them has read, added up, it comes to, well, a lot of minutes.

400 a day since school started, or at least M-Th, they don't ordinarily read on Friday. We also skip a day here and there if we have a project we're working on that takes a little extra time and effort.

It all averages out. I deliberately save the party stuff for times that there's nothing else going on... no holidays or anything. Breaks up the monotony.

The kids had a great time, ate a lot of pizza, played bingo and threw (magnetic) darts, played ping pong, braided yarn and drew pictures and set up their own restaurant and played group games in the gym and were loud and laughing and completely enjoyed the festivities.

I did, too, but now I'm tired.

However, I could get used to the whole 2 day work week thing!

Two mornings up at five this week.

Plus a really nice nap when I get done with the morning shift. Well, sometimes.
Gotta like that.

Sweatshirt isn't done yet. And yes, I will post a photo or two when I'm done with it. Except I'll blank out the school logo. To keep everyone who's reading my blog happy/unhappy, depending on whether you're a stalker or not.

Okay. Off.

Mmm, a pizza party day! That does sound like a great event to save for dreary mid-January, after all the excitement of the holidays has simmered down.

  4. Jeez, I WISH my kids had had a chance to attend your place - what brilliant, fun times you dream up for your charges, who could fail to learn in that kind of an environment? You rock!
