Loren* drew an amusing picture at work on Monday afternoon. An itty bitty stick figure in the upper right corner of an 8.5x11 piece of paper, squatting.
The rest of the page was taken up by a very large turd.
The thought bubble coming from the little guy's head said, I took a huge crap.
I did not laugh.
It was close.
I told him in a no-nonsense tone, "That's not really appropriate. I'd like you to tear it up into small pieces and recycle it, please."
I wanted to get the camera. :)
But of course, didn't want to send the wrong message.
So you'll just have to imagine what it looked like. A seven year old isn't the world's greatest artist, but turds are fairly easy to draw.
::sigh::
I hope his sense of humor matures, but, well, I know some men. Who used to be boys. Don't you?
Won't say more about that.

I am very grateful for Diana* opening for me on Monday morning, too.
No way in hell that I'd have been able to do it.
I ended up staying awake most of Sunday night. And finally got to sleep around 3 AM.
5 woulda been awfully early.
So I ended up sleeping until around noon, although I did try to get up a few times. I managed to call the PT place a little after 8 and let them know I wouldn't be in for my appointment and reset my alarm for 11. Which I shut off when it beeped. And went back to sleep. I finally dragged my ass out of bed at 12:30. Was showered (washed my hair three times... ugh, it was disgusting) and dried and dressed and had my face on and was out the door by 1:30. I felt disjointed and weird and out of sorts all afternoon, but no headache. Not that I missed it. I have been sitting here in front of the computer for a little over two hours, though, and I'm starting to feel some pressure behind my eyes. Time to make sure there's a migraine pill handy next to the bed and head that way soon, I think.

So now the old gummer who predicted the world ending has changed his prediction to October. I can't imagine the outcome this time will be different than the last time, and it bothers me to say so, but I bet there will still be people willing to send him money. According to one news report I read, he was so 'distraught' when the world didn't end that he and his wife ended up spending the night in a motel. With the 90 million or so that some reports have said he netted from this little escapade, I'm betting it was a pretty nice motel.

Which reminded me of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker. I'm sure you remember them. They made a lot of money off the religiously gullible, too.
One time during their heyday, my friend Denise went to Palm Springs for a weekend. She came back sporting a t shirt with what looked like makeup smeared all over the front of it. It said, I ran into Tammy Faye at the mall. And in little letters below that, Palm Springs.

Hm, what else.
Maggie will be 15 in June. Lyssa will be 18. Matt 24. Which one of the three would you expect to crap on the floor? If you guessed Maggie, you'd be correct. And if it were one of the other two, I wouldn't have posed the question here in the first place.
She is getting old, our dog is. It makes me so sad. But when she craps on the floor? She's not my favorite dog.

I am going to change the pillowcases on my side of the bed because I think after drooling as much as I did over the last couple days it's probably a really good idea, find a pajama shirt with long sleeves (about froze my noonies off last night) and crawl off into dreamland.
Sleep well and don't slobber on the pillow.
ReplyDeleteLMAO...
ReplyDeleteI can't get past the turd cartoon...
~shoes~
a little confused, if the world is ending ,whats the money for?
ReplyDeletePoor Maggie. And I am sure your kids are glad THEY weren't the ones who crapped the floor.
ReplyDeleteLOL on the turd picture. I'm glad your headache is better. I am so sorry you have so much pain with them. :/
Re: The guy who predicted the end of the world...I'm with fern..what does he need money for? He can always just send it this way. I told tons of people your 'clothes in the front yard' idea. Everyone got a kick out of it. ;)
I have so many of those pictures that my kids have drawn. So inappropriate, but so damn funny.
ReplyDeleteI change my pillow cases every two days.
Really.
My face breaks out bad from the drool build up if I don't. Sorry, TMI?
Yeah why would the old gummer need money?? LMAO at the turd picture, I can totally picture it in my head and I think my almost 8 year old would draw the same thing..... Feel better. Drool is no bueno...
