I woke up about six with that pressure in my head again... and I got up and went to the bathroom and crawled back into bed. Stupid.
So when Matt came home from work about 8 and told me that there was a sale going on in his store and that the item I wanted to get for Lyssa for her birthday was really on sale... as in saving about 33%, I got up and got him the money so he could go back and get it. He gets an employee discount on top of the price reduction/coupon in the paper/six hour sale price.
So I saved, well, a lot.
Can't tell you more than that yet because Lyssa sometimes reads my blog.
(And if you're reading this, Lyssa, you will have to wait until June to find out what it is. But I'll give you a hint. You'll love it.)
The pressure I woke up with earlier had turned into a migraine. I love hormones, don't you?
So I took a migraine pill and went back to bed again.
This time, I slept until 11:50 when Eric came in to tell me that he was taking Lyssa out for brunch and they'd be back soon. He thoughtfully added, "Go back to sleep if you want to."
Now why the man couldn't just leave me a damn note to tell me that they'd be out and where they'd gone I do not know.
Reminds me of the time just after Matt was born when the nurse woke me up about one in the morning to tell me the doctor said I could not have a sleeping pill because I was nursing.
I had not asked for a sleeping pill. When I told her that she said, "Oops. Wrong patient," consulted the chart in her hand and walked briskly out of the room.
Bitch.
But when Eric woke me up a bit ago, the headache was gone and it was time for me to be up and about.
Well, up anyway. It's one now, and I have done almost nothing. I caught up with everyone's blogs and ate something.
Now I'm taking my wild hair to the showers.
And then taking my sore feet to Tami's house where she will sit in a chair and watch her husband touch me.
Wonder what kind of hits I'll get here from that last phrase.
;)
Glad the headache isn't so bad. I know what you mean about the hospital; wake you up to tell you to sleep. Glad you got a great savings on that gift.
ReplyDeleteNurses coming in the middle of the night to wake you up to do anything when you're finally getting the much needed sleep you deserve drive me nuts, too!
ReplyDeleteGlad the headache is better! I can't even imagine sleeping 'till 11. wow!
ReplyDeleteProbably going to get a lot of hits from that last line.
ReplyDeleteTake care and I hope your head feels better tomorrow. If not, maybe you could have someone massage it?
Hugs!!
