I won an award!

Green Eyed Momster has given me The Beautiful Blogger Award


It was last week that she presented it to me.

It's not that I didn't appreciate it, I just had written several posts ahead of time and I was too busy, or maybe too lazy to change it.

For this one you list 5 things you like to do and then pass on to 5 other bloggers.

Let's see here. What do I like to do?

1. I love to spend time with my hubby and my kids. They're the best things in my life. The man I married is an amazing person, husband and father. My children are thoughtful, loving individuals, and I'm so proud of them.

2. I love to hang out with friends. I have a few local ones.. and bunches online. My life is infinitely richer because of my friends. I will not name names because invariably, I'd leave one out and hurt feelings. Which I would never want to do, because I love them all.

3. I like to go to work. Yeah, I know how weird that is. But I love my job, I enjoy the kids, and although it's not rocket science, I am so good at it that I actually feel competent.

4. I love to cook, although I've done precious little cooking for a few months. (That pesky shoulder surgery thing, don't ya know...)

5. I love to make people laugh. Sometimes I make them laugh in person, and sometimes I say something on my blog that makes someone laugh, too.

Now comes the time for me to pass this on to five other bloggers.
I'd like to give this to
Mrs Boring Stay at Homer because the stuff she writes about her life and family makes me smile. She writes with warmth and love and I really look forward to all her posts.

Not only for the gratuitous wig shots that she posts just for me (her daughters compete in Irish Dance...) but for the knitting posts and the glimpses into homeschooling as it is in her family.

Next, because she's my real life friend, a writer and does not blog often enough because she SAYS she doesn't have anything much to write about... Tami

Also, I'd like to pass this on to N
Another real life friend, who lives just up the street. She has a way cool kid, too. I really enjoyed both of them being a part of our all homeschooled Girl Scout troop for so long. N wins the award for best blog title, too. I love it.

Last, and NOT least, to Judy

I have known her online for 10 years. Recently, I've gotten to know her a lot better, both through her blog and through hours of instant messaging. She's someone I'd really love to meet in real life, and is going through a major life change right now, which she is sharing with the world through her blog.

Go visit all these people.
